Reminds me of some of the extra commentary on “The Love Bug” the producers realized even a hopped up Porsche motor wasn’t going to make a Beetle that fast so they did stuff like filming at a lower frame rate making the final scene appear sped up.

But asbestos wasn't banned yet. I'm sure it was made of spun asbestos for heat shielding.!

I was driving my dads Prius when he was visiting and in a 40 or 45 mile route, it had the average at 75MPG. We had to climb a big hill and use AC eventually.... The eventual 65 mile trip was only like 62MPG

FYI, Mobil 5000 comes in (or at least it did last I checked) wide mouth bottles. The mouth it the same size as all my newer mother with a different thread pitch. I cut the bottom off a bottle and I can gently cross thread the top part into the oil filler and have a nice. funnel.

I had some so bad that I gave up and went to Les Scwab for my truck.someone put steel wheel nuts on mags and they were rounded off from improper fitting sockets.

My eaters/projects are too old for a scan tool/scan gauge. I have to monitor engine performance the old school way!

And Toilet Paper. It is amazingly handy (usually just used as a facial tissue), but good for other stuff.

When I got my F150, tithe stock shifty know was just sitting on top of the stick. I got the cheapest bolt set leather shifter at Walmart (like $5) since it’s not a screw on. The problem is that the clearance “sport” knob is like 4” tall, so it looks like a has a Peterbuilt shifter in there.

That transmission issue sounds a lot like a throw out bearing. It may not need a rebuild in the transmission yet, but there is something going on in clutch land if it’s shuddering.

Reminds me of the digital dash on a 95 Sable I had. If you actually floored it, the numbers couldn’t keep up. Probably less of an issue with a Beetle.

Not sure on the best look but I do have a good amount of programming experience and a fair bit of Arduino experience.

Wow, this cops really have nothing to do! When I bought my F150 last year, I found out (being new to the state) that Idaho issues plates to the person, not the vehicle. You can sell a vehicle and the. Transfer the plate to another vehicle, retaining the remainder of the paid tags on the plate.

I helped my dad do the plugs on his 2001 Maxima. No way a 300ZX is harder with a longitudinal motor.

I had to think about this one a bit. The LM002 seems natural, but it’s not. The original Lamnorghini was basically a car to show Ferrari that the tractor maker could do better. The Lm002 came out of the Chertah prototype that was built to show that Lamborghini could make a better military vehicle (ironically with a

I’m still holding out for the Stinger...

I helped my dad replace several engines, fiberglass psych rusted out doors, prep for paint and a couple clutch replacements.

The big problem I have always heard about is legality. Unless the bulb throws light exactly like the OEM halogen bulb, it may not be legal to convert.

I’ve thought about it and have to go with the 3nd and 3rd Gen Ford Taurus.

Teal you say?
