What was the nature of the original CD though? That's what came to mind. How was it mastered? Was it a reissue? Something that already had that (radio-compressed) sound?

I haven't done any taste testing of gapless rips, but I'm guessing it would ruin a concept album if done wrong.

@SubKamran: I don't know if this one will come through properly. It closes most anything if you hold down ESC for a given time. It does the same with browser tabs. Here goes. Oh by the way, you can comment out the line for message.wav, or leave it in, and have your own sound stand in for it. It's optional.

@Archnemesis_Goldenhair: How do you feel about polyannas and choirboys?? I usually eat them, myself. :)

@infmom: Hmmm..... Aren't you one of those strange women who ride around in cars at night, and give candy to poor helpless young men such as myself?? :-) For the record, I prefer O'Henry bars. :) :)

@wangstra: @mnerd: It looks like they're not allowing new signups.

Very true. Let's see if I can think of something truly wreckless, as the Recycle Bin, undo delete, System Restore, and recovery disks have combined to take the fun and terror out of deleting stuff.

Yeah that one is notorious. Seasoned nix users still like to prank newcomers with it, or so I've read. I also hear that one can free up a lot of disk space with that command. :)

@kimnjerry: I don't mean to nitpick, but they throw an A-minor into the bridge. Wonderful song though. One of my very favorite FM tunes.

So, will the devotees be called Fridge magnets?? :————)

Grammar.

Definitely. Most definitely! I can attest to this. A prime example:

@cyberstar: I wouldn't bother. Your friends are likely going to walk into a forest fire, no matter what you do. Imo, best thing you can do, is let them find out the hard way.

@Hasteur: Nah! Firefox folks don't need it. We're more... more... far-seeing..... We have the thousand-mile stare. We can look into the next valley, where consequences dwell, and thus head off trouble. :-)

@jupiterthunder: That right there, that is what keeps certain ... uh... elements?... of the internet viable. :)

@Maximillian: And Linked-In! That'll finish you off good. :)

Actually I'm thinking how this OT thing could have been avoided. I just didn't think to take note of the date of the original message.

@deanes: I find that it's best to subject one's self to electric current. Not too much, mind you. Just enough to give me a slight perm and an alert stare. :)

So, don't do a reverse-engineered smile? That was my take.

@CountryJustice: this is a little too "shrinking violet" for my tastes.
