I had this nausea feeling. Two years of anxiety over not having Win7. Now I have it. And then along comes the marketing dept with a Win8 demo, implying that I'm not current, or soon won't be.

So how do you navigate 21st-century heartbreak? We talked to some experts to find out.
Allow me to tone this down. I feel it's a kind of click fraud, the milder kind but still.
Can you indicate what OS it's for? I mean the headline on the front page. I feel that at best you're wasting my time. At worst, you're telling me a little fib by leaving it out.
tankya, tankya, lovely Frisbee! :-)
On the browser end of things, I've relied on Download Sort for the longest time. It's a Ffx extension. Sorry don't know what there is for other browsers. But anyway, you can have DS put EXEs in one place, JPEGs in another, ZIPs in another still, and so on. And despite what Firefox might report about its…
I'm pretty sure we've discussed this before, so I'll just feel free to repeat myself, and possibly a bunch of other people. Use any cheap disposable twin-blade razor... they come in packs of 10, 20 ... I buy 10s. After shaving, I rince with the hottest water that will come out of the faucet, give the razor a…
@qiuness: Oops. Never mind my last reply about IMDB. I was trying to make it work here, and it's not. That highlighting problem won't go away. Also, an IMDB keyword search that works in a browser like Firefox or Chrome, doesn't want to work straight out of SlickRun. Although you are obviously having better…
I wonder if SlickRun's "dynamic input" box would help you. I just noticed it the other day, when I typed "g" for Google, but left out the search term. Up came this "dynamic input" box that let me fill in the rest.
@Wolftech: You could try this instead, though it's not the same, it can be just as quick. Type appwiz.cpl in the Run dialog box, and press ENTER.
What I did was use my preferred app launcher, SlickRun, with a 'magic-word' that pointed to Revo Uninstaller. I named the mw, "revo". In the end, it works out to
Well I have to admit that was almost enough to turn me off of burgers, but for maybe only a couple of minutes. Thanks for the link. The comments, as always, were the funnest things to read at that article.
Where??? What abomination ????? I'm hungry!!!!!!!) I'll eat anything!!! And I've just had supper, and this is what I get for clicking on a food discussion at LH, hungry all over again! :)
Is it ok if I vote for the one that comes with the cat?
Do you know if there'd be a way to get it to also reproduce *that sound*? You know that dialing out sound as the dial spins back. I miss it, and that's weird, but I don't care. :)
I just think it's pretty neat! I don't know if this says my age, but I never had my own touchtone until I moved away from home. It's irrational but I miss the ones we had on the farm.
What was your father's maiden name? Linda. Let's see what they do with that, next time I'm in the mood to fkkk with the clockwork.. :-)
I think it's clean and unassuming. It's pleasant to look at without being distracting. I'm trying to keep the puns out of it, but it really *is* cool calm and reflective. Nice. Among the best ones I've seen this year. Thanks!
But now I think of this related thing..... A concept computer appliance. Merlin, the most advanced computer fixer and user helper, something from the not so distant future. Merlin is getting closer to the idea of an intelligent computer for the home and for elsewhere, but namely for the home. Merlin is…
Hey drongch, thanks for the nice words, and for the heart click.
