My wife’s first car out of college was a 2000 Honda Insight, bought right off the showroom floor. I remember being told, maybe by the salesman or by my father, or maybe I read it somewhere, that at the time F1 had banned the use of hybrid technology. This makes some sense as Honda was an engine supplier and one of two

Rural upstate NY resident here. Those of you who don’t know, while NYC and downstate counties carried Hillary for the state, most of the rest of the state went with Trump.

Upstate NY, particularly the Hudson Valley, has an odd dichotomy to its car culture. From what I see, there are two very different worlds which are directly related to the NYC weekender crowd versus local residents.

Functionality doesn’t matter as long as it looks cool. We all know the closest those BFG KO2's are getting to dirt is IF someone puts a bag of topsoil in the bed.

Nice, but they should have turned the tires around and had the white lettering facing out to complete the look.

The next big Trump rally is in a few weeks. He brought Pence home to tell him that at this rally, Trump will announce that Pence will not be his running mate for the next election, so he might as well start getting used to not being VP now.

Also:

Needed to make sure there were no typos? Sorry, but that line of answering from the director is BS. They had a venue full of MV fans, who were solidly celebrating during and after the race, many of whom were probably camping on site. If Max’s victory was overturned, there would have been significant security issues

This is pretty cool, but I don’t think it is $4k cool.

I always thought it was a good looking livery.

My parents bought their first Saab (a silver 900s) from Victor Saab in Abington, PA. In the showroom was a blue Sonnett 3. Every time we were there I would just stare at it like it was something from another planet.

Thanks!

I was wondering if those wheels made it a Turbo Z or a Shelby.

My parents had one of these, it was green with tan interior. It is one of the first cars I remember. When they traded it in on a Saab 900, I was really angry with them. A few years later, my father bought a brown, diesel, wagon Dasher. At the time, I was embarrassed to be seen in it but now I think it would be funny

I have to say, I think I like this better than the Gladiator. At the very least, this thing could pull off the name Gladiator, and actually look the part.

The race aside, does anyone else hate the driver interviews right after they stop and get out of the cars? I wish they would go back to the podium interviews. They were more entertaining, especially after drivers had a few moments to think about the race, and gave them a better opportunity to interact with the crowd.

Baku, Bahrain, and Sochi are the first that come to mind. And while it might be sacrilegious, I will say it anyway: Monaco.

Old railroad ties burn real good. Lots of pretty colors in the flames.

Tiny homes are all the rage. You might be on to something here.
