Gotta go with you on the a/c repairs. When I was just a wee lad in the early 60s, my mom declared we (she) would never have a car without air conditioning. I guess it’s like “eat your peas” (blech...thankfully my parents never made me do that) or “don’t cross the street without looking both ways” (no cell phones in

REAL leather

This is like falling in love with a lovely and perfect person but breaking up because her name is Gennifer and you cannot accept it does not start with J.

370z is still a great car, The base model is a priced well for what it is. Infiniti sells the spaceship you’re looking for.

A banged-up Z31 shouldn’t be anywhere near $6k, but as I read down, I was getting closer and closer. That wrinkled door is hiding a clean and well-maintained ride. It’s still too much, but I’m not completely flabbergasted that the seller could think it’s worth that much.

Ordered through a front in SK, ostensibly for a CEO of some sort, driven to the docks, put on a fishing boat, sailed north, and there ya go.

VQ sounding bad? What hearsay is this?!! Honestly it is one of the best sounding engines out there.

I literally had no idea people hated the sound of the VQ. I like it myself, and most of the other car people I know like it. Then all of a sudden I start seeing people talking about how awful it sounds? I dunno... I also think that Vr6s sound great, and BMW is incapable of making an inline 6 that sounds good so maybe

As the first lessee of a 2004 G35 Coupe 6MT with a Borla catback (which car, I imagine, has since been totaled twice) I demand that YOU HOLD YOUR TONGUE. THE BURBLE AND HOWL ARE GLORIOUS!

I think this might be even worse than your pizza take...

VQs sound great stock. People ruin them with shitty aftermarket exhausts. Some engines just don’t respond very well to aftermarket exhausts and the VQ is one of them.

VQ sounds amazing. Fight me.

The VQ sounds bad? Well maybe with that crappy exhaust the previous stance-owner installed.

I definitely feel like the minority on Jalop. I like the sound of the VQ exhaust (in stock form), and I like the 350/370z. They are simple, RWD cars that might be a little overpriced brand new, but offer a hell of a lot of fun for the money buying one slightly used.

I know I’m in the vast minority but I like the VQ’s sound. At least how it sounded in my wife’s G37 sedan [RIP].

I owned both gens of FX35s and a 370Z. I can absolutely say they are the best sounding cars I’ve ever owned, or even heard in my car-loving history. I’m not sure where this sentiment is coming from.

Yeah I’m not quite understanding the hate either. When the 350Z and G35 first came out, the VQ in those had what I thought at the time, was almost a European-esque exotic exhaust note even under light acceleration. Even the FX Infiniti’s had the same exhaust note which was interesting because no other SUV of that time

Agreed. I actually like the VQ, it at least sounds unique, unlike the overwhelming majority of V6 engines.

Umm what? The VQ’s aren’t that bad. Yes there are better sounding engines, but there are sure a hell of a lot worse sounding engines as well.

Disagree.
