damn you read a lot of my old favorites with Green Angel Tower, Nine Princes in Amber and American Gods

Right! What is the season finale now? So curious to see what they do
I liked Guards! Guards! a lot but this is better in almost every way. I might just continue only reading Watch books because I like them so much better than any other Discworld
Continuing what I was doing, I read a lot of John Scalzi, finishing off the published Old Man's War series. I read Zoe's Tale, The Human Division and the End of All Things this month.
Yeah something seems off about Lagertha's girlfriend, but I'm not sure we have gotten enough of her to really judge. But there is definitely a Ragnar fangirl there.
Yes exactly! Ivar is both compelling and unsettling and that is the core draw of this show. Damn that is well put. And what disgusts and repels isn't necessarily so easily condemnable because it is so rooted in this different and alien society.
Oh god the snake pit close up and seeing them just latch onto him? UGH. Brutal. I do wonder if the plan to have his sons attack Ecbert and not Aelle will work. Seems like they will still attack Aelle first.
Before I go episode to episode, I want to mention how we voiced some concerns about the show post-Ragnar and damn I think these five episodes answered them amazingly well. The now grown-up sons of Ragnar are very quickly distinct and interesting characters, we see the plan for Lagertha and Aslaug, and we see where the…
Watched the first half of Vikings Season 4, part 2 (geez that is a complicated sentence) to discuss with Scrawler and will do so below. Not much other pop culture this weekend other than catching up on Twin Peaks and Doctor Who.
if you think judges can't get things just as wrong as juries you have clearly never had extensive interactions with the legal system
I cannot let the opportunity pass by to not mention my favorite scene from Ong-Bak, a movie I saw in theaters with no idea what it was about and it was just a joyful experience of seeing a man kick ass with his elbows and knees. But the scene I love and remember most is the fight scene with the big dude who just uses…
Hahahah yes. Mr. Peanutbutter is a soothsayer
I think that keeping them in a pack may actually alleviate that issue. It becomes less about their individual stories and more about their collective stories. Because yeah outside of Bjorn and Ivarr they are all the same (I dont even know one of their names!)
Yeah season finale is when I expect it too, and then end with maybe Ivar or one of his other children (probably not Bjorn) coming home to tell everyone and rouse the vengeance train.
Yeah, so do we expect Ragnar to definitely die next half season? because it certainly seems to be a thing that is being built towards, but then I heard the show was picked up for a 5th season of the same length, so not entirely sure.
I really like that observation that Rollo is succeeding in a situation where Ragnar would not have. I mean if you think about the situation, Rollo has to trust them, get them to trust him, learn their language, win over his new wife, and plan and lead foreign troops who should hate him. That he is able to do this is…
One thing i wish I remembered was when the Vikings were converted to Christianity. Because I know it happens at some point, but probably not for awhile.
Yeah I don't have a Kinja identity… honestly I hate Kinja, I'm not sure I will continue to comment here if it moves to Kinja, or if our current method of commenting is even doable
wait where is the news that the Avclub is going to Kinja? I missed that
