Also A Knight of the Seven Kingdoms stories are so narrow in focus they barely have any women in them at all. Which might be its own admitted problem, but a far different one than in Dune

I have to agree. I actually read it quicker than Tea Time just because I was impatient to get to the part where it gets good and finished it thinking "well i'm not sure that ever happened." Not even sure why i forged on and read Tea Time but I am glad I did since I actually enjoyed it

I finished off the Handmaid's Tale. It was a lot more meandering than I expected, and while the vision of the future is troubling because of how much it culls from actual history (I think everything in there is taken from some historical period at a different time) and holds together well, I thought the world building

btw check your email

Are you ready for the final three episodes?

that is a great point about how JDJ cannot be an escape from Forrest since their relationship only exists because of Forrest and because Forrest pushed them even more together.

William Tell/Grant a Wish/Rowboat:
William Tell is a perfect incapsulation of the tragedy of the show in one brief vignette. First he tries to get good enough to shoot an apple off his son's head, and the montage of him getting just good enough to do serious harm to his son is beautiful to watch because Josh and Tina

Never have I been so sad to be reminded of my own prescience. If I made the same comment today I would not have equivocated at all

It is a perfect example of where and when Forrest draws his line in the sand. And what happens when he does.

Oh for sure. So finish off season 2 next time.

There is a nihilism to Tina that I think is so amazing. Like she doesn't care, she just does

I think Josh and Tina represent a bit of the duality of Forrest's reviews. Josh is the innocence and enthusiasm, whereas Tina definitely realizes the destruction that they can cause (she just does not care). I don't think Tina is a red flag in the same way that Forrest encounters, rather she is hedonism unbound

Yeah, sorry if you thought 6, but with ten episodes this season I thought we had agreed to split it perfectly in two.

Bare-Knuckle Brawl/Blackmail/Glory Hole:
The veto is the genius of this season. I don't want to give away how it plays out in the end, but it is soooo worth it. Perfect example of Checkov's gun. Notice how Aj brings it up every episode? It is being teased out brilliantly. And yeah Forrest's relationships in the wake

that is exactly where he got the model

to summarize, he makes a shit ton of cheap movies because he knows given enough chances he will make Get Out and the Purge and the Conjuring and Paranormal Activity and those will make him money above and beyond all the failed ventures

there was a great Planet Money last week on Blumhouse. Really fascinating to see their business model

Complete with the return of Kravitz! And alternate reality if Magnus rewrote his wife's death. Man I want to hear that shit

ahem its The The Adventure Zone Zone. Also Clint's revelation of why he is so hostile to Angus was amazing and I love that it impressed Griffin who was like wait you actually put thought into this?

Haha right?
