They are, but I guess what I am getting at is perhaps some sort of colorblind or statusblind guideline is necessary because of how inequally these things can be applied

A few more things occur to me about this:

This nails what has disturbed me about the letters so much. Thank you for spelling it out so clear

As someone in criminal defense, isn't it true that usually remorse is a large part of mitigation? because the thing that really disturbs me about these letters is how they all seek to blame drinking and drinking culture and sex culture without anywhere mentioning that he is sorry for the actions he was convicted of.

cool glad to hear it

Huh consider me intrigued.

I was going to say that this would be a good week for me to do 5, so yeah I'm on board

Yeah Sil buying shoes is just a random character quirk. What do these guys do? Well Sil buys shoes.

Oh I wanted to mention Barbara too, especially because yeah this is someone who knows enough to get out and not get pulled back in. I wonder if she got that from her dad and Tony and Janice are more like their mother than they would want to admit.

Yep totally agreed on what Richie isn't seeing and that is that while he might not be scared the guys around him are scared of him drawing attention to them.

I agree that a lot of Janice makes sense. Both the wanting to flee and be a hippie in response to the old school values that the community would have when she was growing up and the part of her being too much of a Soprano to not be a manipulative narcissist like her mother. What I like about her is that Tony sees

i would say if you are trying to decide whether to see Civil War the more important Marvel movie to evaluate by is whether you liked Winter Soldier, if you liked Winter Soldier I think you will like Civil War

Guy walks into a psychiatrists office:

I continue on in my first time watch of the Sopranos. Started season 2 this week. I'll be discussing it with Scrawler below. Nothing much else this week, besides going out to watch the US soccer shit the bed in the Copa on friday

let's be honest the answer to the 400 clue should have been Amazing Race where map reading is actually useful. no one reads a map on survivor

In addition to those named below maybe try Daniel Abraham? he has two fantasy series that are both complete now (The Long Price Quartet four books long and The Dagger and the Coin five books long) both of which take care to actually distinguish themselves from generic fantasy

Yeah I am going to start Kay's latest soon too. It is now the only novel of his I haven't read

i do think they have done a lot to improve the game (shorter rounds means more challengers, more battle questions, shorter time to answer standards, the speed round, less dicking around in between questions) and i think they have kept the questions very difficult which i appreciate, but i miss some of the weirder

I am so glad I wasn't the only one who noticed that

Jonah chasing the kid was the highlight of the commercial because it just reinforces the image of him being a quarter step away from a child predator
