Now now, don’t bash all of Beogaf for this, seeing as a good chunk of the thread was people calling the ‘digital blackface!’ guys idiots.

That’s easy, seeing as they aren’t making anything these days.
If it didn’t have a monthly fee, I would. But I long ago gave up on every playing a fee based mmo again, they start to feel like work rather then fun.
I have a supressed advanced unending 10 mm pistol. I can annihilate most anything indoors while sneaking, one shots most ghouls now.
Yeah yeah yeah, whatever at this point. I’ve not seen any evidence of this cabal effecting sales negatively for any of their properties, or heck, any of the properties targeting.
And that VA is barking up the wrong tree. Tecmo cost her a paycheck, not the skeletons. It’s already been established they haven’t said anything about the game, and well, couldn’t stop it’s publication anyways.
“And if Tecmo cared about ‘image’ they wouldn’t have half the costumes they do in DOA 5, and they wouldn’t have as much fanservice in their other games. It’s a BS excuse that flies in the face of the companies current image and history.”
What smear campaign? I mean, really, what campaign? People haven’t said anythign about this game, and well, nothing new can be said about it that isn’t already said about the franchise as a whole.
That’s got nothign to do with this game though, that is, nintendos practices on their published titles.
What could possibly be hurt here, have you played any of their games? What could be said about this game that hasn’t been said about DOA already? And yet, sales haven’t been effected thusfar?
So? A smear campaign is...a couple of tweets? Neither of which are examples of smears, just commentary.
What in the seven hells are you talking about? The blame lies on the only party with the ability to release the game: Tecmo. If it gets released, or not released, is 100% their call and their call alone.
Blame tecmo, it’s their choice on weither or not to release it.
The feminists din’t say crap though, nor do they have any power to prevent a release. If she wants to blame anyone, blame Tecmo, they are the ones not giving her a check.
Nope, this whole mess has been going on for generations, the feminists were not even a thing. Someone is always been outraged about something.
They were not complainging about it period, don’t try to deflect. “They” aren’t a factor here as ‘they’ haven’t done a damn thing. Tecmo is 100% responsible here, no one forced them to do anything they don’t want to do. Tecmo just seems to be tilting at windmills here, as are the goobers.
The only outrage i’m seeing here is gaters-generated. The skeletons haven’t said a thing, except that they don’t like gater-pandering or taking the blame for what they have not done.
Actually, she wants devs to actually think about tropes before using them. She hasn’t called for games to be blocked or censored. It’s possible to make a sexy game, you just woudl want to be smart about it, and not fall into BS excuses or mindless trope using.
No one is really complaining about the games content though, that’s what is so head scratching about it. People expect a beach game to be a bit skimpy, so what would the angle for complaints be? The controsersy is more about blaming a group who hasn’t said anything about the game, for the game’s lack of release.
The thing is, the skeletons said nothing about this game, and even if they did, they don’t have the power to block it’s sale or demand anything of the company releasing it.
