I know a couple of people that work at SpaceX. It sounds like working for the guy is a combination of holy shit we’re working on some really cool stuff and holy shit this guy is nuts I’m not sure if I’m going to have a job tomorrow. 

I’m 6'3" and been driving a 2016 Tacoma since it was new. The seating position has never once bothered me. 

I enjoy going on cruises, living on a ship does not sound like my idea of a good time. 

I saw a Rivian in the parking lot at work on Monday. It was a sharp looking truck. I hope they sell a bunch of them, I’m probably a couple years away from car shopping but if they don’t take a nose dive between now and then I’ll definitely put them on the maybe list.

Hydrogen might be an interesting replacement for diesel in off highway vehicles in ag and construction but it’s dumb for passenger vehicles.

Iowa nice making it impossible to get through a 4-way stop. Nobody understands who has the right of way and everybody just tries to wave everybody else through so nobody goes anywhere.

That Tremor package in my mind is better than a raptor for basically anybody that isn’t out doing high speed driving though the desert. 

As a design engineer I always tell my technician friends that if they’re going to be pissed at anybody then be pissed at the manufacturing team because I’m designing stuff to be easy to assemble at the factory. Like somebody else said the tractors have technically been able to steer themselves for a while now but before this they couldn’t detect obstacles in their way so you needed an ass in the seat to avoid running over rocks, flooded sections of fields, irrigation equipment and drain tiles. 

The problem isn’t so much what the farmers are paying their help it’s that they really only need the help for a month in the spring and a month in the fall. Hard to find somebody who wants a job for 2 months a year. 

Weird, I’ve never had an issue with getting around on KO2 tires in the snow living in northern Iowa for the last 20 years. It can’t be the guy hadn’t turned on his 4wd assuming he had it. It also couldn’t be that those “off road” low profile tires are just for show on bro-dozers and would do the same thing in mud too. 

I felt like I got hit by a truck for about 48 hours after my booster. Assuming they’re recommend another one in the spring I’d still rather get it and feel like shit for 2 days again over getting Covid. 

If you line up 100 farmers from outside of North America and ask them which tractor would be more useful to them that 9R wouldn’t make the list either.
