I think the prices on those mowers are going to start dropping. Up until know there really hasn’t been that much competition in that market but I think with Deere getting into that game it’s going to start getting serious.

Give it time these side by sides have a really steep depreciation curve. A 2 year old gator costs half of what a new one does at a dealer. 

The worst car I ever rode in as a passenger is a Mazda 5. The back seat of a Nissan Rogue is a close second. 

We traded a car in for this exact reason. My knees ate the dash in the Mazda 5 we had with our first kid on whatever side the car seat was on. When kid number 2 was on the way we traded it in on a mini-van so I could go too. 

Based on all the dents in the poles before the strike I’d say the union guys run those tractors into the wall plenty by themselves.

Deere for better or worse doesn’t really do “Brand Engineering” where the slap some stickers and green paint on something built by somebody else. They sort of do that with some excavators in a joint factory with Hitachi but that arrangement is ending sometime in the next couple years from what I understand.

The big box mowers (L-series and ZTraks) are built at the Deere plant in Greenville, TN. I work for Deere I have a pretty good idea where we build stuff.
