My in-laws bought a new Rav-4 hybrid this year. They had it for about 6 months and traded it in on a Highlander Hybrid. They just thought it was too small for them.

My tacoma has a 400W outlet in the bed. It works ok but I’m not sure it’s got what it takes to use as a generator in case of a power outage. 

I was thinking more in terms of having that ability for back-up power after a storm. I really wanted to like it but I think they took a swing and miss here. The other problem with the Maverick I see is you can’t get the hybrid with awd if I remember right. I was really excited about it when they announced it but when I dug into the details I wasn’t so excited anymore.

Once I learned about boots you could resole I stopped buying ones you couldn’t even if it costs a little more. The ones I’ve got on now are probably going to go get resoled in a year or so. 

I think a lot of it depends on your job and the environment too. My boots stay dry for the most part and I’m indoors spending most of my time standing up or sitting not crawling around on the floor.
