Chao is right about driverless vehicles taking jobs away. 10 or 15 years from now I’d bet a steak dinner that long haul trucking as an occupation will be nearly nonexistent in North America and Europe.

I really liked watching the supercup races too but the old cars with the screaming cosworth engines were amazing.

You hit it, the V10 and V12 engines are amazing but they sell in way smaller numbers. Ferrari is definitely an outlier here because all the other manufacturers are selling a lot of small displacement turbo engines.

The Honda growled when they would stand on it coming out of the corners. It sounded way better than your civic with a fart can.

The teams are just marketing arms of the automotive companies. Nobody drives a V-10 or V-12 in anything anymore but you do see some high horsepower turbo engines with small displacements. Mercedes, Renault and Honda all want something they can market in their road cars.

I didn’t use ear plugs when the F1 cars were on track this year either. The Porsche supercup cars were way louder. That being said they all had a unique sound to them. The Renault powerunits sounded like they were rattling a log chain behind them. The Honda sounded amazing, just not loud.

Please don’t let this car suck. I want to see Alonso making people look like chumps again.

It’s pretty common for the teams to run the full wet setup for filming sessions. I doubt the color had a whole lot to do with it.

I was watching some Game of Thrones on the inflight entertainment last fall. I assumed that they’d cut out some of the juicy stuff. Nope. Good thing there weren’t any kids that could see what I was watching.
