I blame that on dash lights- some cars the dash lights illuminate with the DRL -others not I use the dash lights to tell me if the outside lights are on-

Because they’re working on a platform that’s 10 years old. R&D? Done. Sheet metal? Done. Engine, transmission, chassis? Done. The markup on this thing must be insane.

Two things:

I agree. Dems need to cool it with identity politics. Living in a very deep red area I will say that Dems do need to go way more left and they(us/me) really need to explain how Republican agendas do not in anyway help these people.

I think his message may have won. I don’t think he would have won.

The Republican obsession with repealing the estate tax is a prime example of this phenomenon.

Something that has to be addressed is that reparations are not only with regards to slavery, nor Jim Crow. The systematic draining of property (real and personal) from black families which has happened under predatory lending, civil forfeiture, and eminent domain is a thoroughly recent affair.

There’s lots to focus on

Working in OEM factories my whole life, it sounds like this:

I completely don’t understand 911 pricing. Who the fuck would pay 100K for a car without an engine? Are “collector cars” even valuable if they aren’t numbers matching? Also, at what point could I just get a fabricator to build me a better fake 911? Or alternatively build a porsche out of bits and pieces?

Now imagine these two in the video, together.

I’ve always wondered why it matters if the beliefs are held “sincerely.” Like that somehow absolves what still amounts to hateful bigotry.

The wheels are perfectly sized.

The American government isn’t barred from collecting statistics of shootings of civilians by police. It’s that the CDC which used to collect these statistics is no longer allowed to do so because if you don’t collect the statistics then you can freely pretend that there’s no problem with gun violence because there are

And in France in particular it is forbidden by law to do “racial” statistics for example.

Right, a letter that was, in fact, written for. a. Sessions. Senate. confirmation.

Invoking rule 19 is completely insane for a confirmation hearing. But even putting that aside for a second, how is reading a letter from Coretta Scott King impugning his character? Like, how?

I’m amazed by this. How the fuck you gonna use Rule 19 during a confirmation hearing of a sitting senator? It’s absolute bullshit.

This is obviously horrible. But I doubt it will have any effect. The republicans don’t even need to pretend to care anymore, optics be damned. I mean they showed us who they are a million times and their asses still got re-elected.

Here in Ohio, they publish the scorecards and cost/student metrics all the time - we get flyers in the mail at least once a year. Our local public school spends a certain amount on each student and has a grade of A-. ALL of the comparable charter schools spend more per student (some upwards of $2K more per kid) and
