I find the Hobbit triology especially disappointing because it's so easy to imagine how awesome it could have been. You've got Martin Freeman as Bilbo, Riddles in the Dark, the Confrontation with Smaug, all peeking through like scenes from some parallel universe where there's a single film that isn't an hours-long

This plot looks kind of stitched together, but lightening may strike twice for Rand Ravich. On the other hand, audiences might bolt after the pilot. I'd be surprised if it's alive by the time we hit sweeps. Wait, I've got more—

Yeah, I put Menace above the other prequels due mostly to the fact that it had the least CGI. While normally aversion to terrible CGI is not a very good criteria to judge a movie, everything else about these movies is pretty equal in awfulness, so why not?

Yes, totally agree. Putting RoTJ in the same league, let alone the same hemisphere, as the prequels is absolute madness. Okay, so you don't like the Ewoks. You know what I don't like? A terrible plot, terrible dialogue, and terrible direction.

I had managed to forget that. Thanks a lot.

Either kill yourself or molest children? That's a massive false dichotomy. Yes, there are some that can't control themselves and don't want to. But for the rest, it would make much more sense to seek proper help. There is, after all, a massive amount of cognitive-behavioral study dedicated to learned methods of

I just read the Simpsons one. It made me laugh.

So, I've seen all the movies, but haven't read any of the books. I thought the first installment was a pretty good take on "Running Man for adolescents", with some pretty interesting things to say about public and private identity. But once they introduced a large, well-equipped, well-organized resistance movement,

Apology accepted, captain Needa.

How did you respond to the content of his original post? You just said "who do you think you are" and hurled some insults. How's that responding to content other than in the most simple-minded way possible?

The first two are traits that human beings are born with. These traits have also been used as criteria to systematically oppress people and deprive them of their dignity. The last one is just a questionable fashion choice.

So, wait, if you were trying to "put him in his place", doesn't that mean you were trying to shut him down because his opinion is different from yours?

You don't remove 1 billion staples without making a few enemies.

Gentle Herpes has been here forever.

"He…came…from…behind."

A new song from Adele Dazeem? I hear she's wickedly talented.

Today in Yahoo experiences: I needed a Yahoo account to test something with Flickr for my work. While signing up for an email address, I forgot to change my birthdate from 2015. Now, whenever I try to register using the same name and email address, it believes I am 0 years old and won't let me.

I think the middle section of that album is pretty accessible; however, the vocals and guitars throughout are slathered in grease and grime, which will probably repel most on first listen.

Mr. Teti, I see that you are unaware of the Schrodinger's Panther theorem, wherein a football team remains in a state of quantum uncertainty, collapsing into "realness" or "un-realness" only when they either a) win the Superbowl or b) lose a game.

All Goodell knows is that FIFA rakes in more revenue because futbol is a worldwide sport. It doesn't seem that anyone in the NFL has given it much more thought than "they make a bunch of money and we want that, too."
