Use a game controller. You need the analog acceleration/braking for drifting effectively. It's all about the drifting :D

To add to what everyone is saying; it really depends on the composer, and how he/she uses the voices. In general I don't really like vocaloid music, but I can listen to some "Last Note."(that's the composer).

HAWX is just awful (especially the 2nd one) and Assault Horizon is pretty bad...
