Difficult to imagine Noel Fielding being funny, but I suppose anything’s possible.

Game recognizes game.

I hope Kenneth Parcel is happy.

Wow, Tracy Jordan finally got this made. (I wonder if they’ll bring back Jenna’s werewolf character, though.)

Surely if it was being sponsored they’ve put “try not to write it as if you were a snide eighth-grader” somewhere in the contract as well.

I have zero investment in this situation or the rich, boring people involved, but as a fan of a good Sunday roast, I’m compelled to say the beef looks just fine to me. That said, there’s enough fat on a prime rib that you don’t need to rub it with two pounds of butter in a gratuitous TikTok flourish. The potatoes look

I totally agree, but you’ve gotta admit that it’s incredibly on brand for Star Wars to save it’s most complex and nuanced storytelling for what is functionally like those Wedge Antilles X-Wing novels.

Not an accessible series, since it’s mostly behind a paywall over at Dropout.tv, but Brennan Lee Mulligan is doing the gods’ own work on Dimension 20. A bunch of fun, tight, and very diverse series of actual play across multiple genres, including two seasons each of the “John Hughes but D&D” series Fantasy High and a

I can’t believe Mario Kart hasn’t been mentioned yet. Obviously, it’s heavily stylized and features few real-world inspired cars, but it’s a game series that’s had a pretty large influence on the racing genre as a whole. Not only that, but it can be both a game that’s fairly easy to pick up and play casually, as well

Just wanted to start with the obligatory “these slideshows are terrible and whoever mandated them should feel bad and be cursed with accidentally dropping their lunch all over their pants every single day.”

Hey, can we stop ruining the result in the title of the artice?

Probably misses his old glasses

The year of The Dark Knight and Iron Man was great too.

It’s so strange that just a few years ago dominant defenses won Super Bowls for Seattle and Denver (and got the Niners to one and to three straight NFC Championship games). And yet now, it seems everyone is falling over themselves to hire anyone deemed “offense minded.” It makes me excited to see what a strong

Dude, there’s 2700+ words before you even bring the prospect of advantage up! Some of us have jobs, you know.

Well, my 2019 personal pop culture resolution really should be to just stop commenting on AV Club! I could probably have mastered a whole new language in the time I’ve spent and commenting on here.

Iron Fist was never nearly so bad as the press has maintained. It’s as watchable as most of the Marvel shows post-Jessica Jones S.1, which absolutely is damning with faint praise, but neither is it markedly worse (and personally I enjoyed it more than Luke Cage).

11. Jessica Jones S2.

This makes me sad that Fred Savage’s sitcom the Grinder was cancelled. It was really good.
