Oh man, the seller is only 2.5 hours from me. Must... resist... temptation to bid.

And for that, the men of the world thank them.

I remember reading somewhere that banana peels are good for keeping away fleas. You just toss the peel under your couch and let them slowly dry up and it somehow helps. Looks like bananas are going to help you two-fold.

Yeah, the coverage map isn't perfect, but I live near the center of Houston so this thing has had consistent coverage for me.

shiro21, you may have this confused with another device/provider. Clear has no contracts, they just charge you month to month and you can cancel anytime (you pay for the month so you just have to call before they charge for the next month). They also have plans for shorter amounts of time(2-hour, daily, weekly) if

6 hour, rechargeable puck and uses a micro USB cable to charge. The company offers coverage in most major cities.

Up to this point, I don't know why anyone would buy an iPad with 3G built in. You can pick up a 4G Clear Puck for $100 (or less if you keep an eye on Craigslist) and pay $35/mo for unlimited 1.5 Mbps 4G service which can also be shared by other devices. That's only $5/mo higher than AT&T's 3GB capped 3G service.

That's a good question but I'm guessing it's all carriers just because it's more about the battery drain and the continous data connection needed for such a large download.

I believe this is as mandatory as Mountain Dew.

I didn't really look into it until you threw down the gauntlet (jokingly). Looks like it'll fit into the larger tin but not the original ones. Looks like the Pi is 85.60 × 53.98 mm (3.370 × 2.125 in) so I'm guessing it's the fact the tin's corners are rounded and you can't trim any of the board for the Pi. There's

Take a look around the net and you'll see plenty of designs and ideas. Hardest part of the whole thing is wiring up the buttons but that's just time consuming.

Yeah, I was too lazy to type that out but it's what I meant by quieter. Less heat being generated, less power being consumed, and no fans to spin. That's why I like my Acer Revo AR1600 and use it to run XBMC.

You know what the answer to that should be.

I'm surprised nobody has thought of using it to build a M.A.M.E. arcade machine. Whether you want a fill size cabinet, arcade cocktail table (on my personal project wish list), or something that can be connected to a TV.

Most retired laptops don't have an HDMI out. Also, this would be much smaller and quieter.

You could probably put XBMC on it. I'm intrigued.

But the biggest question is how does it handle dim lighting? I don't need a 41MP image of grainy noise.

I've never been a fan of the 1-series design because it looks like a down syndrome 3-series, but this one is nice with the junk in the trunk. I'll have to earmark this (if it ever comes out) and consider getting it once it's 5-10 years old and within my price range.

I think the point of this device is you connect the black box to your receiver and attach the dongle to your music playing device (laptop/iPad/iPhone/etc) so that you can play music on your home system without having to physically connect your device to the receiver. You're not streaming music from one playing device
