I think the problem with spectre is that its climax kind of feels like an abstract mess. Blofeld has an incredibly evil plan to do...something. He wants the nine eyes merger to happen? That will let him do...evil? I think? With Andrew Lincoln as his partner or whatever?

OJ worked because it wasn’t focusing on the actual murders (which were wisely never shown) but more about the nightmare media circus and subsequent racism and misogyny that overwhelmed the case.

It’s definitely a combination that season 4 earning all those Emmy awards made a lot of people way more aware of this and like you said, more scrutiny paid to it as it gets more modern.

I knew that would struggle, but it's really remarkable how that immediately just collapsed. No one even discusses it. It just came out and then immediately died.

Some movies feel like far more than 3 hours is my point. You know the runtime going in but you don’t know if you like the quality. It’s a lock in. Whereas Cameron’s kids could immediately switch off their TV show if they didn’t like episode 1 and put on a different show.

Yeah, Cameron comparing a three hour cinema movie to his kids binging TV shows is a little baffling. Movies are a kind of lock in thing. Once it starts, you are in there, for better or worse. So if a filmmaker decided to bleed a movie out, your options are to sit there or forfeit your movie ticket. TV shows are under

For a movie in development for over a decade and a budget that’s likely astronomical and a release date barely a month away, these trailers for avatar 2 have felt strangely...lacking.

Tales was a great gateway into the other borderlands games. I ended up loving borderlands 2 and the pre sequel. Tales is just masterfully done from start to end.

Tales from the borderlands was masterfully made. At times, I would be bold to say that’s better than walking dead season 1.

Gunn has a lot of star power clout, so my hope is he can use that to placate and push back against Zaslav when necessary.

For what it’s worth, Michael Deluca wanted Peter Safran and largely just Peter Safran, because Safran is another former new line guy (like hamada and deluca are) and safran already had a deal with the studio. Safran doesn't want to do it alone so he pushed to get Gunn the same job.

Who’s the proven rapist? Ezra miller has been accused of many awful things, but I never saw any rape charges. The flash was also made before these charges against miller started flooding out.

It’s hysterical that Johnson has been going “we need to stop chasing marvel and get a whole new apple” and then simultaneously has been declaring that black Adam is the start of “phase one” of his new DC plans.

Do tell, how should he have handled the Ezra miller saga?

Trying to keep that caped crusader animated project alive that David Zaslav decided to kneecap.

Hamada was literally trying to do stuff like that. Like a wonder twins movie, characters like hourman and a decades spanning African American superman story. But what happened? A bunch of asshole screamed “who asked for this? Bring back Snyder!” and made Hamada’s job miserable to the point that he decided to bail out

They’re better just doing a hard reboot. They can’t though, because everything is pointlessly built on top of the wreckage Snyder left.

Money cavill wanted and the execs being wary about giving any ground to the toxic Snyder fans. There, no need for a book.

First of all, no one is dumb enough to wade into the toxic mess Snyder left.

Yeah, there has been zero need to do sequels to the 2018 movie, let alone two of them back to back. The 2018 was a great reunion with a solid and exciting climax.
