For added levels, village roadshow is a major company here in Australia, and locally distributed all of Warner brothers content here for about 40 years. Village roadshow was recently bought out and has significantly changed leadership, with Warner brothers recently terminating their Australian distribution deal

It’s undeniable though that piracy slices quite heavily into these simultaneous movies. The suicide squad was a box office disappointment partly due to piracy killing it. Which is a damn shame.

Look, let’s call out the elephant in the room here: simultaneous streaming releases slam the door open for piracy. Those HBO Max releases all throughout 2021? The second they went online only in America, they were spreading like wildfire worldwide through piracy sites. Piracy does completely shatter the box office

Look, I prefer the choice as well. I hate cinemas. Hate them. But I understand where they’re coming from. 30-45 day windows feel reasonable to me. A pot of those film-makers and actors have that romantic view of cinemas, and shorter windows feels like a fair compromise to me.

Reasonable to the film-makers mainly. Many of whom got angry about the simultaneous HBO Max releases of 2021. Also to the cinemas, who would prefer exclusive content. 45 days is Reasonable for those who prefer to wait as well. It's nothing like how it was a minimum 90 day window prior to the pandemic.

They only have 45 day theatrical windows now. Feels reasonable.

It was kind of fun at first, to see him as grizzled murder man. A few of his action movies are enjoyable schlock (I really love Non-stop) but it's rapidly reached the point where Neeson is just cashing easy paychecks and barely awake in these. It would almost be novel to see Neeson do an actually quality academy award

She did have that incredible simpsons role. “And you thought you could just stay your problems away?”. “If you watch even one second of PBS without donating, you are a thief! A common thief!”.

It probably would have been a role as thankless as what Paul Bethany got, but damn it, Williams would have made it memorable by sheer force of will. Much like Werner Herzog in mandalorian did.

I'm really sick of baby yoda. But he is adorable. Almost to an evil corporate marketing extent.

I mean, popular movies get cartoon spin offs all the time. Such as men in black, the mummy and ghostbusters. In Andy's world, the Warburton cartoon is probably a spin off of the Evans movie.

It makes me love Pattinson all the more that he loves to tease people during interviews. After twilight, he really has to. Those movies moved him to a bigger house, but they must have been crushing boring to make and promote.

Spoilers: The film ends with Riddler slowly swimming away from batman. Batman goes to catch him, but Gordon lightly holds him back saying “Oh I wouldn’t worry, I’m sure we’ll see him again. In movie after movie, each more sexy than the last”

The fox executives must have been always happy with the money and moderate critical praise Singer got them, because by all accounts even they were sick of his partying and other far more disturbing issues, yet they kept hiring him for projects.

He’s admitted he was basically forced to do the first one, due to a contract he had with Paramount earlier in his career. He’s been hilariously ambivalent about GI Joe, usually along the lines of “well, it could have been worse”. No idea why he did the second though. The first GI Joe is a guilty pleasure movie of

They had about 3 major directors that left it for various reasons. Gore Verbinski, Rupert Sanders and Doug Liman. Clearly something was horribly wrong, and Tatum couldn’t or wouldn’t accept that, so his last ditch effort was apparently “Let ME direct it then!”. Fox was apparently against this for logical reasons and

I can’t imagine Pacino was ever a huge method actor. He probably dabbled a little, but nowhere near to the level of De niro. On that note, Robert DeNiro has pointed out over the last decade that your desire to method act dies off a lot when you get older, since the desire to just go home and be with your family and

Maybe you have met him and you just never knew because he was so great at acting. Or maybe you ARE Jared Leto, and you’re so deep into character you think you are real, when in reality all your memories are just Leto being such a great actor.

For me a positive and amusing example of this was when Tilda Swinton played an old man in Suspira. But she went all out, and claimed she was actually playing a male actor who was cast to play a role as another man in suspira, even maintaining character as a male actor between shooting and got a prosthetic penis made

I'd be a fan of stranding him on some desert island forever. Because he'd immediately go insane that no one would pay attention to him.
