"For two 'emotionless' Brits, both scenes were remarkably and satisfyingly touching."

I agree about Lovibond's wonderful performance in that final scene. Trembling and broken, it really sold the set-up of a victim confronting their monster for the first time since she escaped him.

I was surprisingly moved by the ending of Kitty's sub-plot with the young girl, probably because we've seen no physical contact from her previously (and Sherlock isn't really the hugging type) so it was oddly touching to see her physically comforting another female who had, in a different way to herself, also been a

I don't think I'll ever tire of Miller's interpretation of Sherlock Holmes.

You've made me realize that she'd be a great replacement for when Coleman leaves Doctor Who. It must happen!

Ha. Yeah, I think that's what made her feel more like a real character to me. Congrats on a solid season of reviews here on the the AV Club, mate. I've enjoyed reading them each week.

Why can't I downvote you more than once? Whyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyy

I didn't have a particularly fantastic Christmas Day this year. Things went a little ary and I ended up spending it by myself, and so the Doctor Who Christmas Special was really the last, great hope I had for salvaging the day.

Thought this was terrible, thanks largely to the awful Arrow crew. That black dude who tried to look dumbstruck when he met Barry? Jesse L Martin needs to give that guy some acting lessons STAT. Is he there to make the block of wood Arrow guy seem like a better actor? No idea who that woman at the end was. They should

I'm not. I really dislike Arrow but really like The Flash. I guess I'm just going to have to grin and bare it.

Everyone should be playing Dragon Age III: Inquisition. *Inserts Gary Oldman* Everyonnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnne

Agreed. It wasn't the best episode they've shown so far but it definitely wasn't anywhere near a D+

But she's really cuuuuuuuuuuuuute

The guy playing Eddie would have made a much better Arrow than the block of wood they have playing him at the moment.

I had no problems sitting through it. Was actually surprised when it was over, in fact. One of my favorite movies of the year.

Haven't read the comic but I'm really starting to enjoy this show. The first two episodes were largely misses, but the last two have been really entertaining and I thoroughly enjoy the lead performance by Matt Ryan. I'm actually surprised to see this only scored a C+, to be honest. I feel this show is slowly improving

I loved this finale.

A monster-fighting protagonist with a British accent and a mysterious past, who lives in a place that's bigger on the inside, and has a piece of paper he can show to people during investigations and they see something else entirely? Reminds me of…. Who knows what I was thinking there? (Only joking Constantine comic

Good write-up, man.
