then again, just because it’s been done doesn’t mean it can’t be done again. Every police procedural novel I’ve ever read has basically the same underpinning (cop - looking for killer/crook - has setbacks - eventually confronts the villain) but every author has a slightly different way of getting from the first step…

Love ‘Deerskin’ and love Little Free Libraries (there are 4 in my neighborhood). Given that, I’m putting the other books you listed on my ‘to read’ list - you seem to have good book-instinct.

I loved ‘The Seventh Bride’ (T. Kingfisher is one of my favorite authors). I also loved ‘Deerskin’ by Robin McKinley - a retelling of the Donkey Skin story (father takes an unhealthy interest in his daughter)

For some time I’ve felt there was a void in my life. And now, I realize it was the lack of a cartoon which meshes adult and child humor. The old Bugs Bunny cartoons had this magic. Animaniacs had it too. I’m so happy this is coming back.
