traveled to bay area last week for work, but we stayed in oakland. i hadnt been into SF in close to 10 years — i probably did 10 trips there in the early 2000s and would tell people it’s my favorite city in the US.

only if you start talking about your untappd ratings to people around you who didnt ask you about them.

the ‘paying MSRP’ for coveted whiskeys has definitely become a status symbol. it’s like hunting down a 16-pt buck on your uncle’s back 40 on some random farm, rather than hiring a guide at $5000/day on a groomed estate outside of jackson hole.

so much this.

me: *eats entire bag of GoT oreos*

cook out is complete dog shit. there i said it. i honestly thought i was being punked the first time i went to cook out. like all my friends from the south told me to go just to eff with me.

my father-in-law is 82 years old. he owned 3 garages over the course of his life from around the mid 1960s up through the late 1990s. upon hearing someone say about cars, “they don’t make them like they used to!” his common reply, “thank god!”

damn! that’s a beautiful car...never tire of looking at one.

sorry...i tried to love subaru but ultimately never got past the friend-zone. granted it was a crosstrek that looked sporty enough, but the looks couldnt overcome the CVT, anemic power, and road noise after 4 years and 96K miles. i went back to the bimmers that i’ve loved since my first E30 (bought used in ‘91) and

i commute 100 miles round-trip each day, and the seats is the exact reason my 2-series has the M sport package.  they are glorious.

ha...yeah, her dad owned garages throughout her life, so she’s a bit of a car chick. at 16 years old(in 1985), she was daily driving a ‘69 vette with a 427! when we started dating in college she was driving a manual E30. we’ve been a bimmer family for over 25 years...

those wheels are among my favorite alt-time, but i agree with you 100%. not the right wheels for this car.

for sure!  there’s a macan in my neighborhood...the first one i ever saw on the street.  i pulled up behind it at the stoplight exiting our ‘hood and said to my wife...looks like a 928 SUV.

how is it 2019 and no one has done this yet???  i’m incredibly disappointed in the human race after reading this post.

i actually know a guy who makes things out of concrete and i’ve never asked him ANY of those questions. apparently i’m a horrible small talker, and an even worse friend. :-/

mid-atlantic born and raised (chold of the 70/80s), and still living here: i’ve eaten this concoction for as long as i can remember. *however* it was my best friend’s mother who introduced it to me. my own monther’s recipe was...*drum roll* ginger ale and barbecue sauce...yep. i preferred the jelly recipe.

i’ve wanted to post something like this about BMW for about a year now. haters gonna hate...i get it...and maybe the fact that BMW has become a hulking beast of a global corporation now has them squarely in the haters’ bullseye...but 2019/2020 seems to be shaping up as an amazing time for anyone looking to buy their

take a star, dammit!

crosstrek is not “fun to drive”. i owned a 2013 for nearly 5 years and clocked 96K miles commuting around DC. the newer definitely looks sleeker / cooler, but subaru did nothing to upgrade the power or handling.

isnt this the cheap pasta dish version of “new coke”?
