I can’t imagine what the Mobileye CEO is thinking, unless they’re planning on leaving the transportation market entirely. Saying Tesla is too safety focused to work with is great for Tesla, but makes his company look completely awful. Maybe there was a big payout involved, but it's weird.

How would you even pull off the interactivity? Sequence puzzles driven by mag strip cards to unlock tickets to other rides w embedded puzzles?

What if the FAA spokesperson wasn’t flustered? What if they simply had the very normal reaction of suddenly having to defecate extremely badly at the mere mention of the name Chipotle?

My dad did this for me in like 1985 by hacking a red LED into my Kenner Star Wars battery powered blaster pistol. That thing was the effing coolest!

You say this like it’s a problem.

Don’t die, please.

Next up, why T-shirt designs are stupid.

As a lifelong thinner guy, who now works outside in the heat (and needs the sodium), I love these articles. I read them as recommendations.

As someone who works with orchards, I think they’re misreading this. It’s the urban heat island effect, which coincidentally overlays the use of street lamps. That’s my guess. Yearly chill hours, regional warmth, humidity, etc have tons to do with tree fruiting patterns and when and how they break bud and set fruit.

I see. I read water in the stricter sense of liquid phase H2O, not inclusive of ice phase H2O. In which case the author’s point is that on Mars if the ice can melt into water it will boil, but there will be a melt phase.

I could see it. A fast deploy retrievable grasshopper-like sensor drone that can make a few directed hops and let you see/hear from ground level. Simple but efficient.

Sublimation and deposition are defined as having no intermediary phase. This describes conditions where any ice that melts instantly boils, but where there is a phase transition boundary. That specific quality is what makes it significant meteorologically, as pertains to atmospheric and terrestrial (or Martian, in any

I agree 100% as someone who works outdoors all day everyday.

Leaf respiration, both processes, takes place in the spongy mesophyll within the leaf cuticle and behind the stomata. So, CO2 released during use of energy can be recycled locally without leaving first into the atmosphere.

Most county vector control agencies will do the same here in California for people building garden ponds or sprucing up already existing ones. They’ll come by and knock on the door unasked to offer you mosquito fish, or even just dump a few in your pond if no one answers.

I’m actually for this, even thought I’d never try it. I like sours, and I think this would exert down-ward pressure on the market of mid-range varieties.

So, they’re not say that they know or even that it is peaking early, just that if this one is following the patterns of the last strong El Niño it should be peaking now, right?

Lol, 100% refined beef for the engines, MRE’s for the troops. That’s military industrial at its finest.

Computers making decisions?
