Name checks out. I grew up on F1 during the turbo era but haven’t watched for the last twenty years.

Thanks - Gamifying is how I accomplish most things. The current repayment process is simple; they clearly indicate the size of the principal and where the money is going. It’s really set up the way I would have done it myself if I had been asked to help people pay down their mortgage.

So every thirtieth car sold in Italy is an Ypsilon? Amazing. This means that this is kind of the default choice, the kind of decision that no one will question, Italy’s equivalent to an F-150 or a Camry. I need to get out of here.

I keep telling people that if a Professor has a high score on Easyness at Rate My Professor they should stay away. While at university I made a point of taking the teachers that people complained about the most, and (with one exception) they all provided the most stimulating classes and the only ones I can still

Whatever it is, it works for me, too - aside from the new Mazda rotary electric (in 18 months, when we know a bit more about it), the Kia/Hyundais are the only US-market EVs I would consider buying.

I am continuously amazed at how people fail at this kind of logic. I had a co-worker go on about nepotism and moments later speak glowingly of an acquaintance who uses his dad’s Secret Service tags to park freely all across NYC just moments later.

I could argue this in any direction, but my initial response is that it’s the fault of parents (and students) who will not accept the grade a student deserves. Oh, your kid got a B-plus? Go complain to the Principal and that will be an A in no time. I had a teacher (new to universities from another career) who was

I just bought a house, and have made two payments thus far. I expected the situation to be as you described, but no! I was very happy to see that there is a clear and easy way to put extra towards the principal (there are two boxes: one with how much I must pay and then a second box for optional overpayment). Might be

I am so glad I am not the only one wildly underwhelmed by the Amos thing. It’s like they saw and admired the Delta and then went on to miss the point entirely. Same thing with some 037 remake that’s out there.

There are groups that offer microloans in third world countries; I think much of the US ought to qualify. Except an overwhelming number of Americans do not understand even the basic notion of interest.

Yes, citing a source which cites WP is another way to have your edit reverted. Looking forward to you having some bad sleep in the future. ;)

Yes, we can buy junk made in Chinese factories! Yay!

I don’t know about India, but it is definitely happening across Africa and Latin America, and in Greece and Eastern Europe as well - they bought Piraeus...

Can Americans own land in China? Reciprocity is a good starting point for such rules (although it is obviously irrelevant in asymmetrical situations like US/Costa Rica - US expats are buying up everything there).

Who would have expected Ron Jeremy to be Milkshake Ducked?

Yes, I don’t think anyone would seriously do that. I’d definitely take a Twingo plus a twisted ankle over a Crossfire, though...

That is a pretty successful design, and yes, naturally a $200K versus a $15K car (just guessing at prices) is going to be a different proposition - or at least as long as you have a second car.

Or “The Next Grognard”, ugh. It just wasn’t the same without Chris Tucker.

That one looks like it could actually fight someone.

Find me a proper source and I will try to reinstate that. A lot of times the reason WP edits get reverted is because of crap formatting or by being dubious looking content added by anonymous ips (that was probably what happened to you).
