I’m so fucking sick and tired of these people jumping on the smallest issues. How about those big touch screens, several hundred watt sound systems, the electric cooling fans, etcetera? 4 watts to charge a phone is nothing. Also I’m assuming that’s worst case and it depends on the vehicle and powertrain. I can’t see

Assuming Acura actually starts production of the NSX for the 2017 model year...

This. Personally I think V6s with exhausts are pretty close to I4 fart cans on shitiest sounding. IMO exhausts don’t sound good until at least 8 cylinders.

I have quite a bit different practice when the weather is bad. If I’m at home: open garage, start Tahor, back out. If I’m at work: pull out cell phone, open onstar app, start Tahoe, go out ten minutes later, get in with mostly clear windows and a warm seat.

So the bigoted asshole says something a bigoted asshole would say and people are surprised and upset? Meh, there’s much bigger problems in the world, laugh it off as a bigoted asshole statement and move on with your life.

Sounds good but in this day and age they’ll most likely not think that it could possibly be their child’s fault but that the evil methanol corporations are responsible and file a lawsuit against them.

I’ve just never seen Stop/start as something tangible outside of CAFE and the EPA. Has anyone done a scientific observation to see if it actually buys anything noticeable in the real world? It doesn’t take much fuel to idle an engine at 500rpm but it takes a shit load to accelerate a 3 ton 4x4 and a decent amount to

Why just call out GM? Every single global automaker produces and sells cheap, unsafe cars in developing countries.

I like TPMS. Call me lazy but I don’t manually check my air pressure every time I drive somewhere or stop when on a trip. So far it’s saved me twice. Once on the highway where I was able to judge how fast the pressure was dropping to make it to the next town and change it in a parking lot instead of on the side of the

Under hung spare+IFS+Solid rear axle+unibody=WK

That’s quite an exaggeration on a majority being drunk. There were quite a few that were high.

Probably depends a lot on where you live. I live in a fairly rural area where things are generally spread out. Almost everyone has at least a 50 mile daily commute but then to actually get anywhere it’s 150 miles one way, which I’ve driven for a meal more than once. Also its not uncommon to take off to Austin, Dallas,

I get it on an older car but never understood the “don’t use cruise control on less then perfect roads” in a modern car. As soon as one wheel starts doing something it isn’t supoosed to its automatically disabled. I figure it gives me one less thing to worry about when I need all my attention focusing on the road in

If I’m remembering correctly, Toyota remote starters shut the car off when a door is unlocked and a lot of cheaper vehicles can be started with a phone app (Onstar, Uconnect, etc).

I’d still love to have one, just silly you can get a power liftgate on a ~$30k CRV and Escape but not an $80k LC. It’d be nice to see Toyota implement a decent remote start too.

If I could pull an $85k SUV I’d buy one tomorrow. I think they’re awesome! It’s luxurious without being flashy and doesn’t have the stigma of the competitors, it’s capable yet extremely comfortable, probably the most over built vehicle on sale today, and has good depreciation. The only feature missing is a power

Preemptive strike to save face and catch them before anyone else does. After a very thorough investigation I’m sure the French government won’t find any real issues with Renault and will corroborate that there was no intentional wrongdoing...they are afterall, the largest shareholder.

If they’re all about “clean” the best thing to do is to wait for the VW fix. A new car will pollute too, just less and will require pollution to get it from the factory to the dealer (ship, train, truck) on top of all of the resources that go into making parts for and building a new car.

My first thought was “Accord or Camry.” Yeah, fun cars are great but most of us need something to reliably get us to work everyday that’s cheap and easy to maintain so that we can afford the fun things.

I think the highly compressed, high resolution digital images we have today were unfathomable when the Star Wars was released have something to do with it.
