Ooooh - that was not what I was thinking. This is what I was mentioning - the main reason I used it was for multiple linux iso's to use...

I actually was unaware of the task switcher getting taken away... wow - that is extremely foolish...

I think we are misunderstanding each other! Haha.

May I ask how many people intend to get Windows 8 (how I do not really care about), I am just curious if there is much desire for it?

They definitely cannot see ext3/4, but you can use fat32 for those.

That firefox thing is a huge pain and really just ridiculous.

CamJN is right, that hasn't been fantastic for Linux.

Other option is to do the In-Windows install. You lose a few features, but it is simple.

When I was in IT I made some boot-discs with recovery tools that Windows/OS x don't provide. That doesn't mean you need to try running it full time though if you are happy with what you have.

What do you mean restriction of softwares? What types of things would you like that you cannot (or maybe think you cannot) get on Linux?

Finally... I have had to mount this as a webdav paired with rsync scripts to make it useful...

Oh I see, that is odd. It worked for me before on a Linux disc. Stupid apple probably changed it to only watch for \System32 dlls on the disk or something.

That experience seems really odd, because the bootcamp process is literally the following:

+1 For Arch. But I would default to Linux Mint - Cinnamon instead of Ubuntu. Yes, you can change the window manager, but why bother - just start with a good one!

Post Edit Window Edit: You may note that MBPs have Optical Drives, I swapped mine out (at the time) for another hard drive bay and had OSX, Windows, and Archlinux running.

Apple is killing off installing from a flash drive that appears in EFI as 'Windows' (Both Linux and Windows appear as Windows to EFI). They only allow, from my trials and research, you to install from the Apple Branded USB (probably since it's HFS+).

A dremmel could make those!

I see a market for desk chairs that telescope from the 1' to 4.5'.

Another I have heard is to just exaggerate the issue (mentally) and keep exaggerating until it just seems ridiculous and laughable. I haven't tried it - but it's been one of the others I have heard.

As an amendment to my statement:
