I wouldn't worry much about the missionary work, it shows willingness to work and do things (even though you may not really want to do everything involved).

Seconded on sending your resume as a PDF. Otherwise, you run the risk of losing formatting, them not having the font you used, or various other possible issues.

Agreed, but as far as business goes - they make a cut of everything going through there (that is sold, that is). On the free items they get the developer license fee as well, since you can't be on a free one to submit them to the store.

Could you give some examples of what is better on 8 vs 7? I think when i was on the preview boot seemed slightly increased but not a whole lot more. Maybe i overlooked what you're experiencing.
