You got it 100% right. There’s going to be an incredible revolution on many job sites. The companies that need local fleet trucks are only going to look at whether or not this truck meets minimum requirements and the total cost of ownership. They won’t give a damn that employee Billy Bob can’t tow his boat to the lake

At least you have a vehicle - I had to walk 650 miles each way, uphill in the snow with 2 different strains of COVID and a hangover.

Holy shit! This thing is WAY cheaper than I was expecting. I was guessing around $55k-$60k with that mileage. And I heard you can get the 300 mile battery on the base trim. This thing is going to sell FAST. Hopefully Ford can keep dealers from marking these up.

Meh, I drive 600 miles each way everyday, both uphill in the snow with a full truck bed. That range wont work for me........therefore all electric cars are garbage.

Pay more, train more. The amount of corporations who complain about a shortage of this staff, or that staff, and you ask them about their training schemes and they just shrug. It costs money to learn stuff, not just the money to pay for tuition and training, but money to fund all the regular living costs you still

Wait, so if you have a shit job you’ve been paying shit wages for and not hiring new people there’s not enough people to do the job when needed?

In our current economic system, it literally costs people more to be poor (which contributes to keeping them poor). There was a really good study done on this a few years ago. A simple example of this is poor people having to pay all kinds of banking fees, while people rich enough to have a certain level of savings

1. Trucks and mid-size and larger SUVs have a STUPID high residual value
2. 36 month old off lease ones with 40K miles are still $25-30K
3. Putting $5000 down on that and borrowing $25K out the door for 60mo is still $449 a month @ 3%
4. That car will still be running just fine @ 100K miles assuming people change the oil

Holy crap. $400 didn’t even cover the property tax escrow for the mortgage on my first private shithole. The idea of it being the whole mortgage payment....

I use the pile of garbage/you need a warranty against them. “Wow you have saved me so much money and hassle knowing that my 50k purchase will be useless and prone to break. Time to check out XYZ brand!”

Copied from the other article.

Mine was in 2006, at a Ford dealership in either Burbank or North Hollywood (I forget which). I was tired of dealing with my manual Mazda Protege in LA traffic, and wanted to trade it in on an automatic Focus. They had the car I wanted (ZX3 SE, in black) so we sat down to figure out the deal. I handed the Mazda keys

does it come with a front facing camera so you can see over the hood?

I'm being Kinjaed and can only reply, but my vote is for Life is a Highway. I just never really liked it.

Golly that Lada looks like a 90's Range Rover mated with a 2016 Jeep Renegade.

$4k gets you my off road ready 1994 Plymouth Voyager.

Yeah there might be race teams or engine manufacturers who have data on that but they're not sharing trade secrets, unfortunately.
