maybe it was me, but Che’s whole joke about how the insurrectionists got people’s attention and was a demonstration of what really fighting for your beliefs was about left a bad taste in my mouth. a big part of why people voted against trump is that he acted like a dictator and now people are pissed because biden’s

cbs all access, er, i mean paramount plus sure has had a bunch of flops. this, the stand, from what i hear, picard. lower decks may be their only good one and that was just above average.

they inherited the ranch in montana and are living there happily.

i imagine dale finding Q to be trite and getting jealous that no one cares about his alien conspiracies anymore.  either that or he is Q.

from what we know of him, it seems like hank would be a lincoln project type voter who went romney-johnson-biden. he’s still a conservative, but refuses to support trump and the current GOP and recognizes that it’s a 2 party system.

i’ve thought about this and think it’d be something like bobby returning from austin where he was a small time comic and part time teacher having to get a full time teaching job in arlen because he can’t support himself on his comedy. connie moved back home after having a break down trying to live up to her parent’s

yeah, i wouldn’t like to watch the episode where the moral is that yes, high school foot ball is dangerous, but it’s foot ball dammit.  or yes racism exists, but you stand for the flag. or yes police brutality happens, but you unquestioningly support the police.

what gets me is what they used to replace the stuff they took out. Did anything they added of any value? the crows attacking mother abigail was okay, the yankee stadium masturbation guy was funny and that was about it.

it felt like a line king would have written tbh.  Mocking Flagg’s titles by adopting the over the top titles of a character from pop fiction fits this version of glen.

kinda surprised no one mentioned the shots of them walking that were obviously meant to be evocative of Lord of the Rings.

sure, but in the book there didn’t seem so much sincere focus by the narrative to make us feel bad for harold. in the book wed been inundated in his resentments that it was easy to tell he was never sincere.

like I said last time, this is the best version of Left Behind ever made.

also, the smiley button changing based on flagg’s mood is pretty dumb, right?

also sorry, but harold’s whole mea culpa was just meh.  a man did a horrible thing and now has a sad, boo hoo.

must say, I was not expecting the changes to nadine and i’m intrigued. i don’t know if they’ll be able to pull it off, they’re not the best writers, but it’s a change that might actually work.

this episode was a lot better than previous, I think i’d put it at a B tbh. the decision to change the bombing from a council meeting to a vigil that had the potential to kill the entire town was actually a good change. As was the part where Flagg and Mother Abigail shot the shit. This fleshed both characters out,

or more likely they got some grants from the DoD to show the army in a good light.

I could see the violence stuff working and even sexual stuff, but not the alcohol and drug use.  no society is getting an electrical damn back up and running when the whole populace, including the number 2 in command is high 24/7.

you’re thinking of nadine’s death.

in the book it was more reversed. vegas was about hard work, chastity, ethics and carnal forbearance, whereas boulder was about trying to find a balance between order and personal freedom. there was a struggle on what to do about the local drunk for example, whether to use guns, policing, etc, etc, etc. Whereas in
