It depends on the reason for the wrist pain. If you already have achy wrists I wouldn’t recommend doing them on your knuckles, you could end up aggravating them by pushing on the bones and joints in the base of your hand and making everything worse, if not that I don’t know anyone that has done them on knuckles for

Although said rather crudely, I do agree with the content about the clap pushups. I can literally do hundreds of pushups (at one point recently I was doing 2-500/day in sets of 50), and I doubt I could do many clap pushups without hurting my shoulders. A lot of that depends on your size and the strain that puts on
