Basically a socially-conscious soap opera, with a few thriller overtones.  The idealistic student is an annoying character.  The no-good married girlfriend and the blackmailing pye-ano player are a lot of fun though.  Closas is perfect as the male lead — like all "heroes" in seedy thrillers, he has the moral fortitude
