The fact that Romain is still alive and even managed to get out by himself proves that modern F1 chassis’ safety measures are amazing.

Yeah, it might sound a bit medicine-like but it’s the Turkish name for Anatolia (“Anadolu”).
The company still exists, they build most of the world’s Ford Transit models and the Ford F-MAX :
While most of the trailer is indeed from Madagascar, the drag race at the beginning, the waterfall at 0:18 and the mountains at 1:15 are from my birthplace, Réunion (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Réunion).
Pretty sure that the Bentley footage at 01:11 is also from Réunion.
TECHEETAH is the Chinese racing team that has scored the last two Formula E championship titles with Jean-Eric Vergne and Antonio Felix da Costa.
OK so a 2JZ fits, now go get a 1GZ.
The Morgan EvaGT:
There’s also a 7-seater version called “Triber”, both are sold where I live:
The “description that follows” is basically what Uncanny valley is (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Uncanny_valley), he’s just saying that what makes human-looking androids fall into said Uncanny Valley also applies to these “inspired”-but-a-bit-off cars, I fail to see the racist part of his comment.
Damn Jason, why are you getting on the clickbait image bandwagon?
How am I supposed NOT to click a picture that has a Gordon-Keeble logo on the steering wheel ?
Unfortunately we don’t know what the long-term effects will be, as far as I know this was the first oil spill inside a lagoon so there’s not a lot of data about this kind of thing.
Here’s a local article from earlier today:
Istanbul and Jerez would join Imola, Nürburgring, and Mugello as former F1 tracks making a return to the 2020 calendar.
Mauritius definitely so, tourism makes up almost 25% of the country’s GDP.
Reunion is a great place (like I said AWESOME for hiking or driving mountain roads, an upcoming episode of The Grand Tour was filmed there late last year) but getting there is a bit more difficult as you pretty much have to go through Paris…
Yes, that’s a relief.
Just imagine what would have happened if this was a full tanker...
This is one of the reasons why a large part of the population is (very) unhappy about how the government handled things.
When photos showing the ship pitched toward the stern were posted on social media the day before oil started to leak in the lagoon the government stated that the pictures were “manipulated and…
Thanks, unfortunately the consequences will likely be felt for a long, long time...
Definitely does.
Apparently they tried to get 4G signal from the island but got much closer than planned (according to crewmembers’ hearings) and stuck the reef at 11 knots.
The government is in hot waters because the population is asking why this ship was allowed to get so close (on a direct collision course no less) without any Coast…
Yeah, the population has been contributing a lot to the cleanup operations since oil started to spill on the 06th, unfortunately the effect on the lagoon will likely be felt for many, many years.
Obviously not as close but some ships do get witin roughly 5 nautical miles from the shore to try to get some 4G signal.
Yeah, pretty fun except that I mostly work overseas and haven’t been able to leave the island since I came back from a one-week stint in Madagascar back in early March, the borders are still closed except for rare repatriation flights and there’s a compulsory 14-day quarantine on arrival.
Right now we are free to move…
