Nah. I think i was confusing myself. Regardless, I can’t find any racecars of the era with a hoodscoop like that. I’m guessing that was probably added after the fact?

Are you sure it’s a racecar? Looks more like a hot-rod of some flavor, to me.

My vote. It’s just trying so damned hard...

The closing of a track is a familiar story. But another shopping mall? Really? I thought the existing ones were struggling with the growth of e-commerce.

Ready Jet Go — It’s a kids’ program on PBS that is co-produced by the JPL. Each episode ends with a short video of Amy Mainzer illustrating some science thing.

It seems the brand overestimate the market for a six-figure Volvo.

My van can confirm as well, but it’s still undefeated at 2-0.

Bingo. The coyotes never did anything to my car.

Amy Mainzer?

IT IS! WINNER, WINNER!

1st Gear — I think about what the car market in Minority Report looks like.

Earth to Brint. I was making a joke. Yes, I don’t doubt that Subaru’s aware that non-boxer engines actually exist. The point is that the company is a bit bit quirky in its engine design relative to most of the industry. It’s a quirk that adds a bit of character, but has neither broke nor made the company.

Which really is derived from Porsche/VW’s air-cooled boxer.

I’m not familiar with the details, but the Googles tell me that the last Subaru inline, the EN, was discontinued in 2012... Even in Japan.

Maybe. But I think there’s a lot of viable options in between, as well. Mazda’s own rotary engines were similarly unique, but neither made nor broke the company.

And before anybody gets upset, despite the thickly-layered snark of the post, above, I’m intrigued by the concept, and impressed by anybody trying something innovative/new.

mkbruin may have been underselling the 1st gen Durangos by calling them “Dakota-based.” They were 5-door Dakotas in all but name. All the moving parts were identical between the models.

I think the fines start in most places at 5mph over the limit.
