i’m heading into that point in my life where my parents and their peers need to be taken care of but are still walking mobile and i do not have the ability nor the budget to chauffer them/get them an uber.

i still want a volvo but it’s priced way out of my league

yeah usually the development engineers hand out at the factory for the first couple months to make sure everything is ok and figure out if they need to make changes to smooth out assembly.

Yeah one guy in Australia had something like “multi clutch plate fused” or something and that sounds exactly like what happened to mine. slow engaagement and then BAM it kicks in, or it never engaged the rear diff.

the newer XT’s i’m still worried about. I know of several replaced. Mine was replaced at 65K. replacement is going strong though. knocks on wood.

Would transmission repairs be subject to the tariffs? I.e. domestic built, but parts overnighted from japan subjected to tariffs?
