The VAST majority of Gooseberries are NOT nightshades. All the “true” gooseberries are members of the Grossulariaceae family, Ribis genus, along with currants.
The only gooseberry that is in the nightshade family is the Cape Gooseberry; which is actually a ground cherry, which you correctly point out ARE nightshades.

They are almost always older, typically late 90's/early 2000's, 12V NiCad style tools. And often overpriced, too boot. Would I pay $10 for an old 12V NiCad cordless drill? The best ice scraper I’ve ever had doesn’t even have those ridges. It’s just a real thin piece of metal. REALLY good at getting under the ice. Works ten times better than any plastic-bladed scraper:
