Shelter Cat Update!

You want to “both sides” a man with a rape button? Weird position to take but follow your rapist supporting heart, I guess.

he had a fucking rape button, katie!

When I see such narrow waists combined with super wide hips, it's obviously fake. Your internal organs have to go somewhere!

On the one hand, Ellen Pompeo fought tooth and nail to be paid equitably and considered an anchor on the show when the network tried to say it was all Patrick Dempsey.

The real moral of the story here is that yelling at your director works out sometimes if you do it with conviction and fearlessness in your heart and also if you’re white.

Well said. We rescued a border collie puppy who was taken from her litter way too young and developed aggression issues. We hired a certified dog trainer and she was truly a dog whisperer, unlike Milan. She assessed the problem and come up with solutions within an hour. Thanks to having a very smart and quick learning

I’ve talked about this before. I had a fear reactive dog. He was genetically fearful. He was dumped at a shelter with his litter mates. That’s a high stress environment especially for a puppy and a fearful puppy at that. Then he was attacked by an off leash dog during a fear period. It was very minor and probably

Rich people/celebrities rarely suffer any long term consequences for their actions, if at all. What else is new?

Years and years ago, watching the Dog Whisperer show was a guilty pleasure of mine. But even then, it became pretty clear that the guy’s whole methodology was snake oil. I remember episodes where he’d essentially choke out an unruly dog, then try to cover up that reality with creative editing and angles. It’s sad

Whoa, whoa, whoa. This happened in 2019? It has only been two years?!?!?!?!? It feels like it happened well before that. Jesus, 2020 was super long.

I think he's one of those trainers that tells you not to let your dog sleep in your bed, so that's when I know the whole trainer has to go in the trash. I sleep with a dog behind my legs and a cat on my pillow like God intended.

Thank you for saying this. There is this idea that the US is highly litigious and that we’re all taken advantage of the legal system. It’s predominantly a narrative propped up by corporations in order to discourage lawsuits. I understand why other countries repeat it. They really don’t understand that a suit might be

Starred for truth, and I hope someone can bring you out of the grays. Labrador retrievers inflict far more bites every year than pitties do, and absolutely can kill you. Sure, a pit bull has a wider mouth and formidable bite strength — but the difference in bite strength really isn’t meaningful, since all dogs have

It can also reflect the plaintiff exhausting other avenues for compensation, the fact that the plaintiff was a minor at the time, and the fact that the plaintiff’s mother was employed by the defendant and thus may have feared retaliation. Four years is not that long, really, and people can wait even longer.

Re: The delay in filing - Having had injuries that seemed like they would be not a huge thing at the time and that ended up affecting me for the rest of my life, this makes sense to me. Often times the full, long term impact of an injury doesn’t become apparent until months or even years later.

Any dog can do a lot of damage to a human being. Please don’t perpetuate the myth of pitties being more vicious than other animals. It’s hard enough already for them to be treated with respect. So many are ignored at shelters and/or are euthanized just by virtue of being a pitbull type dog

$850,000 seems like a slightly alleged high price point for a dog attack that occurred four years ago and yet wasn’t important enough to file a lawsuit over until now
