I don’t understand this at all. If you don’t like it don’t take your kids? If I had time to do this with mine I most certainly would. I feel they are sexualizing the situations unnecessarily.

if you don’t want your child to attend a dress up story time put on by a volunteer or librarian, then keep your child home.  Don’t ruin it for the other kids and families.  Kids, in general, love a story time with a dressed up character, which is basically want drag story time is.

At the most basic level, it’s really no different than say, “Clown story hour”.  It’s someone dressed up in an outlandish costume and reading to kids and acting silly while doing so.  They wouldn’t ban it if it was clowns, so they shouldn’t ban this.

Not only is this anti-LGBTQ, but it also has really really bad ramifications upon libraries if passed. A parental review board, filled with parents who have no clue how to run a library, deciding which books and events a library can and can’t have? That’s censorship, and book banning on a state level. If this passes…
