The two shows I can think of that continued on after their original long term planned series story line/arc concluded (Babylon5 and Buffy) had so-so seasons (post-epilogue seasons if you will). I just worry with the original vision concluded, the next storyline might not be great.

Season o4 of ENT was brilliant. They actually turned a corner with it (only two dud eps as far as I’m concerned - one was a standard Ghost of a Ship trope an the other was the finale). S4 also actually started to tie in all the trek lore (and very well) and you really started to get a sense of the bigger universe out…
