You did it. Congratulations. The dumbest internet comment ever. The competition was heated, but you still somehow came out on top. Wow.

Are they a good team? I live in Wichita, Kansas, where the Baby Cakes are moving for the 2020 season.
This is going to sound really stupid, since I don’t know that much about soccer, but you can’t score from an indirect free kick, right? So for that goal to have been allowed, it must have grazed off another player, presumably a Cameroonian player, right? But in that video, it looks like the ball goes right into the…
I don’t know anyone that sat out Pokemon GO after its server issues. LOTS of them complained, complained endlessly! But they were still out there all the time trying to make it work.
To add on to what others have said about how Harry Potter is not a license that seamlessly fits a Pokemon-type experience, I also think the Harry Potter brand has been damaged in recent years. JK Rowling keeps saying racist and transphobic things or defending domestic abusers, and she’s been monkeying with the world…
How did the Kings handle it when they were the Omaha-Kansas City Kings?
Regardless, I think the Rays should just move to Montreal entirely. Or some other city. Tampa is so terrible at supporting their team, even when they made it to the World Series and were quite good for a while. They don’t deserve an MLB team.
So they’re just obscenely similar, but technically competitors? Weird.
I guess Wichita can lay claim to Freddy’s now, and we will always go on about Nuway, but you’d think White Castle would put a restaurant here at least to recognize it as their birthplace.
You’ll have to excuse my ignorance here, since I live in Wichita, Kansas and we have neither here, but isn’t Krystal at this point just alternate branding for White Castle? Sort of like Hardee’s and Car’s Jr.? So is this just going to be a Krystal thing, or will White Castle try it out, too?
(Incidentally, White Castle…
Agreed. But the work Microsoft has done has been really cool. It’s actually been interesting to see Microsoft’s controllers mocked for being so terrible, to now making what are arguably the default controllers for just about everyone.
Jason, I really appreciate you bringing up how customizable controls are an accessibility issue. I think abled game developers forget that not everyone is able to play a game the exact way they dreamed up in the first place, and having options for those players really helps expand the audience that can enjoy their art!
I mean, if you wanted to get new weapons you could also go fight the enemies and then collect what they drop. That’s what I did. Never had to use any amiibo to get a weapon or a shield.
Remember when PC games used to get a couple expansions packs until the dev team had reached the limit of what they could fit into an expansion pack and had to create a new game? I miss those days.
This is an excellent article. Really superbly researched and nuanced.
I think we should also be talking about all of this in relation to two other players on the court in that same game: Klay Thompson and Kawhi Leonard.
Given Durant’s injury, the rush to get him back on the court, and then his far more severe reinjury…
I know there is a big debate about the fairness of the shift as well as its efficacy, but why did the Marlins shift the defense so dramatically against a hitter that is known for being a bit crafty in how he gets on base? I think the value of the shift is a bit overblown, and I’ve only seen it be consistently…
Between this story about Ja Morant and Fred VanVleet being unheralded coming out of high school and then undrafted coming out of college, it just goes to show that if all you do is focus on the Zion Williamsons, you’re missing truly incredible players.
Seriously, at some point you have to question the strength and conditioning of the Warriors. I know injuries can happen to anyone for almost any reason, but the sheer volume of injuries in the last couple months seems suspicious. And then, of course, Durant coming back WAY too early and now having to sit out an entire…
It’s funny to me that two Marvel games were shown off at the same time, and this one looks like a weird movie licensed game where everyone looks like off-model mannequins, and the other game is frantic arcade-y action where you can play as all of the cool Marvel characters that people have been itching to be in the…
Why does Iron Man look like he’s being played by Mac from It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia?
I think the artist is telling the truth, from her perspective, but doesn’t realize that her ignorance of what she was commenting on ended up unintentionally being harmful.
