I’m happy to see an article about this! I love that the message with Aaron Davis seemed to be that even people who have done bad things, people who are criminals, are humans and deserving of at least some compassion. Aaron wasn’t instantly turned into a horrible villain, but we also didn’t get some sort of redeeming

I initially took the headline to mean that a man was promised free Burger King for life, but then had it revoked after he had a “mishap” in the bathroom.

RockPaperShotgun is fantastic. I love that their whole thing is to get the word out about awesome games you probably haven’t heard of.

That’s absolutely not true at all. I find that people who carry guns around with them, especially in their oversized pickup truck, are just LOOKING for a reason to use them.

I say just slap a Clinton-Kaine bumper sticker on the the truck and let the owner rage themselves into a heart attack.

Mike Drucker had a good tweet about why he’s still playing it. He said it’s like how sometimes you just want to eat a shitty fast food burger. You know it’s garbage, but it just tastes good in the moment.

I probably should’ve phrased what I said differently. The alt-right and American imperialism both come from the same white supremacist seed, so although they are not literally the same thing, they are related in many significant ways. Or, another way to put it, is that the alt-right is an outgrowth of American

Why the fuck are we splitting hairs when he forced people to watch him masturbate?

It’s more about a frustration that Nintendo seems to be going out of its way to NOT do something that so many people want. The game itself was in development hell for so long, switching platforms multiple times, so it’s a miracle it even got made at all. Then there was a petition with tens of thousands of signatures

American imperialism and the alt-right are the same thing. They come from the some white supremacist desire for power over non-white groups.

At least in Kansas, the thin blue line American flag and Punisher decals almost always go hand in hand.

Thank you for that last caveat. I hate when I’m trying a new game and it’s not clicking with me, but I have no idea if I’m even experiencing the main game yet, and if not how long it’s going to take to get there. That contributes to like 90% of the times I stop playing a game.

It doesn’t help that Kiko Alonso looks like the stereotypical douchebag jock from every 80s teen/college movie.

This is really beautiful. I didn’t think this was exactly what I’d want to read right now, but it was!

I’ve lived in Kansas (the real Midwest, look it up) and I’ve never seen these at any function or party. The Midwest is not a monolithic region, and does not have a homogeneous culture. People can’t even agree on what states are included in the Midwest.

I don’t know how accurate it is, but the commentators during the broadcast mentioned that Embiid never shot threes in college (and rather famously only began playing basketball a few years before college), and his decent 3-point shooting is because he just looked up some YouTube videos on how to shoot threes and then

No it’s not. You can have a well-designed game that you budgeted for and hired the right staff to make, but then your budget got cut. Or your staff left. Or management wanted to shift focus to something else.

OR you can have a game that was one thing, and you budgeted and hired for that one thing, but then over the

A lot of vaporware is because the scope keeps expanding beyond capability, though, not necessarily because funding and resources are inadequate.

That was a little surprising to hear from Jerry, knowing that he’s still very good friends with Michael Richards. I always just kind of assumed he didn’t think it was that big of a deal for white people to say.

Which is, unfortunately, apparently a big reason the game hasn’t been ported to many (any?) other platforms, because it would need to be almost entirely reconstructed. But damn did Sawyer do an amazing job with it.
