Saab, Saturn, Suzuki and now Scion. It’s been a shitty decade for car companies that start with S. Smart, you are next!

I’m glad to see his grammy knitted him a headrest cozy for his big trip to see the airplanes
His approval ratings went up with the light chirping of tires at the end. The coffee in the employee breakroom in the basement is a nice touch.
The whole spartan Lotus Elise interior plus the plaid is my idea of perfect. The only thing that would make it better is crank up windows.
NASCAR was so much fun in the 80’s! We went to North Wilkesboro between 1987 and it;s closing It was barely a step above a county fair demolition derby in formality. i wish I had pictures of the scenes around the outside of the track and our camping/parking area in someones yard.
I was going through an intersection the other day where an accident had knocked over a street light pole. As I was stuck in traffic, I looked over at the mounting and wires where pole once was. Suddenly, some “Florida Man” looking dude walks over and steps on the wires. Sparks flew as I saw him get shocked and knocked…
560 SEC. Even Bobby Brown used it in a song.
I got to meet him at KC Raceway in Chillicothe Ohio when he was a driving sprint cars. Ironically, I was not a big dirt racing fan, but I went with some friends. It was pretty awesome to see a kid my age driving a Sprint Car. That’s right, a 14 year old kid driving a car that weighs less than a Miata, with a 700 hp V8…
“I certainly hope your kids don't end up with ugly looking freckles" - My mother in law to my freckled ginger face
I love the early BMW MINI Coopers before they got a turbo and went on a Beefcake 4000 diet. Right now the bidding is low with no reserve met, but this is the fastest and longest name of the breed and Mini Cooper S John Cooper Works GP
Before I moved to Florida, I considered getting a Cadillac. Being that I’m under 50 years of age, there’s just no way I can do it. They make a good car and I know I should not be that way, but I can’t pull the trigger on a grandmama chariot. The same applies for Vettes, Mustangs, Challengers and Camaros. All great…
In Florida, you can find them cheap enough at estate sales to get one now
This deserves to be included:
Nothing as wierd as driving home my used Saab 9-2x and quickly knowing where all the controls and switches were, because they were identical to my wife’s Outback. My independent Subaru mechanic loves when I bring it in.
I was thinking the same thing, it can’t be anywhere but Florida!
John Kasich would be a Honda Accord.
This reminds me of my drunk of a driving instructor. There were no issues during my time as a student, in fact we all liked him.
There will still be some roads around, so I’d go with this. A Saabaru has plenty Subaru parts available, they are easy to work on and it has AWD when the roads get tough. All and all, a fun, capable, analog car.
Another example of America’s war on the poor.
I’m with you man! My Saab 92x with 188,000 miles was due for timing belt, struts, tires brakes and spark plugs. I put 100,000 miles on it in my 2 years of ownership. At the end of the day, I was going to spend $4000 on a car worth $5000 to keep it running another 100,000 miles.
