I love the idea of it. A car version of the whole Tiny House trend, which I love. The styling could be a little more interesting, especially the headlight and nose.

Saab 9-2x is only 6-10%. Maybe I should paint it brown.

"a torque curve flatter than Larry Bird's ass" that line will stay with me all day. Great write up!

It's getting to the point where we will all pine for a dashboard without a large screen on it, where you use buttons and knobs.

The Florida old folks image of Cadillac is still on people's minds. For those of us in the know, it's a great car. In the eye of the BMW/Mercedes/Audi crowd who buys the badge, Cadillac, the car of old folks and the Jersey Shore cast is not even a consideration.

I recon those sponsors figure that Tony's driving skills are good enough, despite the fact that he was unable to dodge a kid who smoked weed, put on a black fire suit, ran onto a hot, poorly lit track and ran close enough to him to grab his wing.

A driver in a major racing series is simply a marketing figurehead/spokesman in the eyes of those holding the purse strings. Even if he is exonerated in the court of law, he is already damaged goods in the court of public opinion. I don't envy the folks at Stewart-Haas who are in charge of securing sponsorships for

If the Countryman and Paceman were not associated with a contradictory brand name like Mini, where it gets compared to an icon, Jalops would love it.

I'm glad this shit-tastic logo was a short lived remnant of the 80's.

I remember reading that issue of R&T and being really excited about that car. I'm glad to see this article to see what happened to the idea of it.

It's a good thing he's not pulling a Jeremy Mayfield and turning it into a soap opera.

Jalopnik is a daily stop. That Randy Lanier piece should be made into a screenplay, great stuff! Keep it up guys!

Am I just an inconsiderate dullard, or are every one of these complaints about Top Gear completely weak? I had to look up some of these "insults" the Mail or whoever bitched about, because I did not know they even existed.

I remember MTV had a "Foreclose On A Yuppie" contest in the late 1980s where an E30 was one of the prizes. Some hillbilly in my hometown won, spent all the cash part of the prize on guns and tatoos. He wrapped the E30 around a tree and ended up in a wheel chair.

It looks and sounds almost Eastern Bloc. Every week, I look forward to seeing Torch's feature of an obscure, homely car of the week!

it may have been dreamed up, invented, developed, demonstrated and talked up in previous years, but it is finally rolled out to customers before the end of 2014.

Reminds me of a close up I took of the engine of the SR71 Blackbird

There is also the whole "why aren't Americans racing the worlds best" among us US based fans of the various international racing series.
