Hoping to see a bumper with an integrated hitch, like the off-road option on the Ford Transit Trail models.

I thought the gear racks on the back of the seats was a bit much too, but I still reserved one :)

I was doubtful, but I think the factory they’re building is supposed to be capable of putting out 200k vehicles a year. So with those economies of scale, it could be possible, or at least close.

So true. I put in a reservation and cancelled my Cybertruck reservation. This is so much more of a real truck and just suits my use case better as well. It’s also not ugly as hell. Once I saw a Cybertruck in person I knew I was going to cancel it.

So you’re saying for a relatively short two-hour flight it could be even higher.

I saw a bunch of these cruising in Houston, all festooned with tons of LED lights. I’m sure the guys driving them thought they were so cool, but they just looked hilariously ridiculous. Car culture in Houston seems about taking the dumbest trends to the extreme.

The most surprising part of this story for me is that I’m making more than the global head of marketing for TikTok.

There were nearly a million 3/Y sold in 2021, so she’s far from the only one. She needed/wanted a car, and bought one. I would have done everything in my power to avoid buying a car at that time, but it seemed like plenty of people were not.

A new Performance or LR purchased for $45-55k will probably be worth $25-35k in 3 years.”

I saw the commercial they have for this now. With a bunch of young 20-year olds driving it. Is that the target audience? Nepo-babies?

Doesn't Tesla charge you for that now to discourage people just leaving their car there?

I could not imagine buying an EV without home charging capabilities at this point in time. Not just for convenience but also for price. Charging at a station is much more expensive than charging at home. Fine for big trips but not something you would want to have to use regularly.

It chased them for a few blocks according to a local news station (the clip is on YouTube). They also said the car was paid off, so not a repo...

Driver said it was paid off in an interview with a local news channel. They plan to file charges. The tow company did not respond to the news channel’s request for comment.

Especially if you park it in the garage of your dollhouse.

What’s really wild is you can now mount FPV cameras from a drone in them, and use a VR headset, so it looks like you’re really off-roading. You can even have the FPV camera on a gimbal with head tracking so you can look around!

TLDR Tesla has deeper pockets than this drunk guy.

It makes me feel like one of the old people tipping me a nickel when I used to deliver newspapers as a teenager, but I feel like some of it is price. I used to go to local breweries pretty often, and beers were $3 during happy hour and $5 normal price. Nowadays, a it seems like $8 for a beer is pretty normal, though

Also, if you’re going to support the small craft beer maker, aren’t you going to tend to support your “local” small craft beer maker? Being first made them the alternative people were looking for, but they got completely crowded out by all the local alternatives.

I give it NP for a collector. ND for someone who intends to drive it. I’ve noticed the high performance mustangs from this era, haven’t held their value as well as one might have thought because the new ones have even more power. 440HP in 2012 was a pretty big deal. Now a base GT for the same price has 480HP. It’s a
