No, a 3-point half is not satisfactory; then again, it might not have been a 3-point half if that PI had been called correctly. The fact is, with 8 minutes left in the game, the Lions had a 3 point lead and had driven into Cowboys territory with a chance to score again and put the game away. An unprecedented,

I know, right? A common phrase I've heard is "they should have been up by more, and they wouldn't have had to worry about it." When you're a TD underdog on the road against one of the hottest offenses in football, it's an accomplishment to have the lead. I guess it's their fault they weren't perfect enough to be up by

except that call was made by an independent arbitrator, not the NFL. How would an independent arbitrator have ruled yesterday?

the hands to the face was no different than receivers and defenders do all the time during games. Calling that would have been the definition of "ticky-tack." The PI and crap by Dez Bryant on the other hand was blatant.

Pass interference.

Normally I agree with you. This case is the exception that proves the rule. And accounting for the Dez Bryant non penalty, that's two calls, not one.

Is that supposed to tell me something? Validate the ref's call? Dude, that is a non-starter. Even the Cowboy loving media all had guilty looks on their faces in the post-game, feeling sorry for Detroit. And where's your picture of Dez Bryant standing on the field with no helmet on?

Whatever led into this game was irrelevant. I'm talking about this game. Detroit owned the first half outside of one defensive breakdown. They suffered some blows from Dallas in the second half but were driving mid fourth quarter with a great chance to go back up by two scores. That was a game changer, and anyone

I sure hope so. But the way they were playing on both sides of the ball in the first half - they could have competed with anybody, anywhere. But one half of football is not enough.

Still don't believe in conspiracy. But if anything was going to convince me, this came close. And you're right, the lack of a flag on Dez makes it all the more egregious (and suspicious).

Well, yes, they only scored 3 points in the second half, but if the PI was called correctly (not to mention +15 yards for the Dez Bryant penalty), they were on the doorstep for a field goal AT MINIMUM. So when refs take points off the board, it's hard to score.

You do? I said more in my comment after that sentence. Was my next sentence what you predicted it would be?

I am not one to blame the refs or conspiracy theories about the NFL "wanting" a certain team to win.

4:40 PM on Fox: Watch Detroit goons Suh and Raiola get an early bounce from the playoffs, in possibly their last games in Lion uniforms, as Detroit continues its miserable streak of playoff futility.

I think it's a Fleshlight. Dude might have a placekicker fetish.
