It should also be noted that he is having these engines made. So... more 356 outlaws will probably have them in the future. Very cool stuff.

Saw the 356’s grandfather in London:

Pretty sure it’s this turn-out on the Angeles Crest Highway.

Although completely different cars, those proportions and the satin finish somehow remind me of Porsche’s PEP 1 modular test mule from the 80s:

...where the Type 4s at?!

I check BaT daily/weekly

911 has rear seats for those of us with small kids. 2+2 is always more practical than straight 2 seaters.

Serious question, which 80's 911 is the cheapest? I check BaT daily/weekly and try to watch the prices so I know for the future (but who am I kidding, they’ll all be 6 figure cars by the time I can afford current prices) but it’s so hard to follow. I don’t know the number/letter combination. Which one do people hate?

I hate when people do this, as I love 911's, but this is more closely related to one.

I worked at a Porsche dealer for many years. Some 911 guys were cool. Most were insufferable.

But there are cheap 911's:

HA! The owner is a good friend of mine. There was actually another friend in another Porsche (1977 Targa) that had to turn back half way because of car issues.

Imagine the people who use Qtips to clean their air vents seeing this, they’d self-combust, or maybe get a twitch.

It’s actually by Porsche’s secretary.

Dear Sirs,

“...a beautiful ignorance of when to quit” is absolutely poetic. Well done! It has now replaced “best partially-urinated on Arby’s Hot Ham and Cheese ever.” as my favorite Torchinsky quote.

If there’s any German-literate jalops out there, a verbatim translation of that letter would be lovely...
