@JCardinal: I agree. That has been my understanding since 2007.

Doesn't a CDMA iPhone 4 constitute "new hardware"? I would say so.

@dallasmay: Christ... do I really have to use the sarcasm tag? Like I give a shit what else android phones can do.

I'd still rather have a Wonkatania.

Let me be the first iPhone 4 owner to declare, "I'm jealous".

Release all the software updates you want, Apple. We know a true fix won't be out until iPhone 4GS.

I thought the OTA updates were preventing this. I'd hate to brick it just because Apple decides today to be the day. Even still, I'd be interested to see what new features the jailbreaks bring. Let's see 'em (on your phone, not mine)!

@Lite: an adventurer is me!: Word has it this update will also fix yellow screens, bright spots, and reversed volume buttons. Amazing!

@ElementalDragon: That's because it's not. It's hardware related and software fixes may reduce the instance but will certainly not cure it.

@talkingstove: At least we didn't have to pay Drudge Tax to see it online.

This is the response to iPhone and other smartphones that have tried to clone it? Sad... I feel for those of you still using these bricks.

How in the hell would a "software update" fix this? Seriously, this is a hardware issue. Pontificating that a software update could possibly change this is ridiculous.

@acidrain69: My iPhone had no bubble wrap or styro. I doubt this action would have damaged it but seriously, why be so careless with someone's package?

@Obieousmaximus: No chimichangas? That was the only part of the new Shrek movie that was funny.

@Bubbsdaddy: It is about the same. I've used them both on the 1G and the 3G. After a while they begin to peel off but it's worth it to me. I've never dropped any of my phones (knock wood) and I don't want to take a chance now. The old ones are the wrong size though, you'll need new ones. I tried to make it fit, but

@cagrino: Mine originated in China and then off to Anchorage. Now it is stateside!

@Teddy Ruxpin: Aww, you're such a sweet kid. They shouldn't do a lot of things they do on a daily basis but that isn't stopping them.

I kept trying to make the [history.dat] file read only. Once I restarted FF, the file would go back to read & write. I tried this 7 times and had the same results. Any ideas?
