And I said that the chain also has zero issues. JHM (the leader in maintenance and modifications to B7 RS4s and B8 RS5s) has never seen a timing failure (guide or chain) nor have they replaced any timing components on the high revving 4.2 FSI motors.

I’ve heard zero reports of chain or guide failures on BNS motors, even with 220k+ miles. Just not an issue.

You have no idea what you are talking about. None of this is the same on the RS4 as it was the S4. No one on the forums has had problems with chains or guides. 

I had a 2007 S4 (loved it, still miss it)and from my understanding it was only on that engine and not the RS4 Engine. Though they shared displacement, there wasn’t a lot of cross-over for those two motors as all that extra power didn’t come from extra boost as it does today, but vastly different internals.

I like it!  I much prefer the off-road look that Jeep puts on its crossovers over the car-like look others have gone with theirs.  Plus the addition of the 3rd row likely means enough cargo room to not need to go up to a much larger vehicle.
