A good semi-auto conveys the same feel imho. I drove manual for 15 years and I love it - but I also love the semi-auto in my BMW. I don’t miss fucking with the clutch in traffic, nor the occasional difficulty of having a girlfriend that cannot drive my car.

Ugh!!! People bitching about manual transmissions are pretty annoying. Companies build performance cars. Performance means they want to get the best lap times and figures. I would be more surprised if the damned thing came with a row-your-own gearbox. Y’all can clutch your pearls all you want over this, but a DCT > Manual.

I am 0% surprised at the condition of the car. This is what you get when you outsource your inventory photos to the lowest bidder. Pretty common, sadly.

Crossovers and SUV’s generally are safer in most planned test crashes., if only because being higher means you take hits to the structure more often. but i thought crossovers were supposed to be safer than sedans or wagons? Seeing that thing flip like that is a good reminder that center of gravity matters a lot for safety too. Glad everyone is ok after this mess.

With a proper set of tires, I think this car would go 99.999% of places you need....same with the 4Runner.
