“... for getting an STI and making it look even better.”

Are we looking at the same STI?

Great reference of Keith Code’s “$10 of concentration” analogy - it’s so true. I’ve seen people enter hot pit with tire warmers still on...

We have it implemented in Wisconsin and it has been working surprisingly well to decrease my driving times. Rarely do I ever brake completely, and then go, brake, go, brake, go - instead it’s a constant speed the whole time and much more relaxing without having to constantly focus on big fluctuations in speed

Agreed, there is something about a clean bike with just the bare functioning essentials that can look really incredible. Even the quirky looking ones give me a bit of a chubby...

Not exactly what I was referring to...

I guess 1980-90's dual headlamps are back in style... I can’t keep up with trends anymore.

Sadly, I am not surprised. The Nordschleife is so relentlessly dangerous, just Youtube “Nurburgring Crashes” and it is all the proof you need to never go there. No passing laws are enforced, few understand basic flag meanings, no thorough tech inspections for leaking fluid, safety wire, or faulty components, and

It looks like the test driver strapped his clip-board with a checklist for the prototype to the pickup bed. “Can it haul items? No ⬜ Yes ☑”

What I imagine it will actually be like:

Car forums filter millions and millions of classifieds sales and generally require reputation to post in them. I could easily see someone faking a post under a reputable user, providing an alternate email, and scamming the hell outta someone and a shit storm of confusion ensues. Same goes for vendors on those sites as

Before trackdays I like to watch some videos of guys just racing the hell outta their bikes. This guy, Phillip Crowe, has some amazing onboard footage on his Youtube channel. Unfortunately he crashes out, but it’s still incredibly impressive to watch him man-handle that S1000RR:

Edit: race starts at around 4:30

Never had one successfully stolen, but my trick of pulling the fuel pump fuse when I parked overnight in a shady area worked on one occasion. Car will never start and they’re not going to sit around trying to trouble-shoot it.

That appears to be the case. The current layout for MotoGP racing makes corner entry into 12 a very high speed entry rather than running through the chicane layout for F1. He had too much speed, low sided and went straight into the wall. MotoGP just announced they are switching to the F1 layout (specifically turn 11)

“Hmm - the vehicle is not fit to drive on the road because there appears to be no valid insurance in the event of an accident. I’ll have to confiscate it.” [proceeds to drive Lamborghini “without” insurance at unsafe speeds, as if to try and prove his own point for confiscating it]

Oh the irony.

No problem. But not that I know of - usually if you’re phone is in a chest or side pocket then it’s not very likely to sustain a big impact. Your arms and shoulders will most likely take most of the brute force of the ground, at least from my experiences. You can always get some foam liner from Michael’s or something

Just always have your cellphone in a zipped-up pocket in your jacket or pants that is easy to access. Never put it in the bike somewhere because you’ll likely be nowhere close to it when you crash and/or are immobile due to injuries.

Agreed - I had someone cut out in front of me on my motorcycle years ago and ran. Someone took off to get his plates while I was left crippled on the ground with a broken femur. I can’t thank the person who did that enough.

What blows my mind about that era was specifically the BMW M12 that was producing 1,100 hp during some qualifying sessions in 1985. They stated that within a 500 rpm power range (about 7,900-8,400 rpm if I remember correctly), the car made an increase of 500 hp... only 500 rpm... I can’t imagine how a sudden surge of

I remember when I could search AutoTrader or Cars.com and find stock Twin Turbo Supra’s for $15k all day - how times have changed...

True, I guess I got too used to the mundane colors on the F1 back in the day that I always associated with McLaren instead. Like winter green & burgundy red... the 90's were kind of strange/awesome for supercar colors.
